How to Grow , Harvest and Preserve Ewedu (Jute leaves)

  • Jute leaves (Ewedu) can be grown anywhere, directly in soil or in containers.
    It takes between 3-4 weeks to grow to maturity.
    Seed are black and hard but can be soaked in warm water to fasten sprouting.
    It has a lot of nutrient and can be eaten raw or cooked.

    Very interesting video.
    But won't soaking over night with warm has an adverse effects on the seeds. I have always been soaking my seeds for just 10 minutes before broadcasting.
    Though I learned something important here for not putting too much seeds on a bed.
