In both scenarios, at some point, the women are on the ground looking overwhelmed either by emotion or desolation. Of course the music/vocals & scenes are haunting, ethereal, & beautiful in themselves. But we are trying to understand how they fit into one whole. Why is there a transition of Amy from black shadows, to opulent red, to radiant white - then back to red - what is the meaning of this chronology? Or is this song a melding of several different approaches to see which one works best? We tend to think the Amy in white or red matches best with the brilliant sparkle of her tone & luminous appearance.
