- As the Young Thug trial stretches into its seventh month, there have been many heated moments between Judge Ural Glanville and Young Thug’s attorney Brian Steel. It’s clear the two don’t see eye-to-eye on several court related matters, as they have clashed numerous times over the past few months. From Glanville threatening to hold Steel in contempt, to Steel requesting Glanville step off the bench, this trial has created significant tense moments between the two.

Young Thug faces nearly a dozen charges, including possession of drugs and weapons, participation in criminal street gang activity, and conspiracy to violate Georgia’s RICO Act. The rapper was arrested in May of 2022 along with 27 other alleged gang members. Many of those defendants have taken plea deals in the case.

Having a private conversation behind closed doors during a trial is wrong.
It’s not only wrong it’s illegal. There are laws against what he did. Also laws about threatening a witness and laws about what has to be communicated if there is an emergency meeting. Plus it sounds like poor lil woody is being bullied on top of everything. The judge is really wrong for threatening jail to a main suspects attorney and then doing it and then not recusing himself from the proceedings when he a witness is terrible. The Supreme Court is going to hear the case against the attorney so he will hopefully will get justice. I love that he interrupts Steele and then tells Steele not to interrupt him. He’s a bias and corrupt judge and needs at the very least to get off the case.

So basically, the judge admitted to having a conversation with a witness behind close doors. He was so hard on wanting to know how he found out.

It's one thing to let someone talk for the record. It's another thing to let the ADA prosecutors give signals to the judge during court proceedings. This whole trial the Judge gives the ADA"s Attorneys the preference and aids them to what they want; ie. the exparte meeting , non restrictive voice and accusactions. Looks biased to me!

12:38 The court reporter's eyebrow raise when the Judge said "I know at particular times tempers have been heated in this trial" is classic! She's my fav. She has a noticeable frown on this day. My guess is she's not thrilled by this Judge whatsoever.
They are telling him how to testify and if you don't follow the script you're in jail for as long as we want to take.
