Even though you have your own successful business and channel and team, it's got to be a big pride moment every time you hear Matt say "Robby'l fix it!"
I worked in a body shop when I was a kid.... the estimator had the hardest job. And when they didn't want to pay what a job would cost, we ended up doing supplemental after supplemental to get them to ALMOST pay what they should. Insurance companies work hard at screwing both the customer and the body shops.
We always wonder how does it work? It’s seems so complicated to find out what is broken behind what we can see. Thanks for the demo. Entertaining as always
Enjoyed the video. I work in a body shop in Australia and also accident towing. Been towing for 13 years. The insurance companies try to screw us over here too!
It is interesting to watch a knowledgeable body tech reverse engineer a complex assembly. In this case a bumper! At RLN they have a disassembly line in their body shop.
I'll be real interested in knowing how that back and forth negotiations go with the insurance company. I mean if you say it's going to cost $9,000 and they say they're only going to pay $6, 000 what do you do? Can't wait to see how this ends up Great video!
I am a bit confused: one moment you say that 'some shops would glue the headlight, but not this one', and then tell us that you will not replace the fender, because you like fixing things. Why fork out for a $1800 headlight if it can be fixed?
Gluing the lug back on the headlight isn’t a proper repair. It will probably leak and get condensation down the road. Whereas repairing the original fender that already fits the car properly and is already factory primed and painted (yea it’s going to need paint work over the repair) is much easier than basing and painting a new bare fender, plus some new panels don’t fit up right without some modification
Because the headlight is plastic, and the fender is metal. Metal repair will last. Metal and be welded and reshape to factory. Welding or glueing plastic will never be right or will last.
takes me back to when I worked in a body shop in the uk insurance companies always tried to skim the estimates was hard work trying to do a good job when you’re got insurance assessors saying just glue it rather than replace
Getting my own Truck has always been my Dream for my business. I just acquired 2 recently, earning $32K bi weekly has been really helpful. I can now give back to the locals in my community and also support the Church.!!!
I thank Evelyn Susanne Scarlett who has always been there to help me with detailed analysis and recommendations that I would not have had access to otherwise.
YES! That is exactly her name (Evelyn Susanne Scarlett). I saw her interview on CNN News and so many people highly recommended her and her trading skills❤️
$1400 for a cheezy bumper that did not provide any real protection for the vehicle. $1500 to replace the headlight.. It’s not surprising that the Auto Industry is on shaky ground financially. It’s almost an insult to walk into an auto Showroom,,,.
I lost ALL respect and interest in Collin / MOR when he CHILDISHLY / mockingly laughed while DESTROYING a perfectly good Landcruiser. He knew many people would cringe at what he was doing, yet had the gall to giggle like a little girl while doing it.
She loves pink tools.... I do not get it. - Robby I do not get it either and I am a woman :)) Tools have to be good quality esp. if you are use them as a Pro :)) For my use around the apartment and on my Wheelchair I use mid range tools. Low Quality tools can destroy parts.
Valance, like balance. A valence (with a long A like Scale) is a term used in chemistry and atomic physics. I know, you don't care. It also really bugs me that no one who works on cars knows how to pronounce solenoid. 😝
I enjoyed this one, nice to see collision repair again!
Thanks all!
I love the big build builds, but its refreshing to see collision repairs again.
Nice work! Thank you, Robby.
Thanks for taking the time to explain all this stuff (estimate) to us
Even though you have your own successful business and channel and team, it's got to be a big pride moment every time you hear Matt say "Robby'l fix it!"
Many thanks for sharing the process with us, it’s much appreciated ❤
I have to admit, I wasn’t expecting that coming! You got me.
Worked in a body shop for years respect the builds you guys do keep up the good work 💪
As always..... very enjoyable to watch and learn how things like this work behind the scenes.
It’s crazy what you have to do, so you can do your job, and you do a nice job so that’s always a plus
You be nice to the boss
She is an absolute angel
You’re a lucky man
Robby

Fascinating. Thanks for the breakdown. 🙂
Extremely Interesting . . . Thanks Robby 😊

Enjoyed the video. I work in a body shop in Australia and also accident towing. Been towing for 13 years. The insurance companies try to screw us over here too!
Serious suggestion to get impact extensions so you don't ruin your crome extensions or sockets. Tools are not cheap.😊
I love watching your videos you and your team dose a great work
Absolutely love auto body. Wish you were closer to me. Need my son’s Chevy 1500 painted.

Nice tutorial :) !
That was interesting.

I like to see auto repairs - especially the estimates. I guess this is why our insurance is so high!
Geeze, $1,500 headlight assy. Crazy.
Still waiting for part 2 on the GWagon ... Robby
My rough estimate without all your input was going to be about $8 cdn... so I was definitely low $9200USD is approx $12900 cdn
Wow, EXPENSIVE
Hi, Boss 😊
I have a bumper in my shed that is in new shape. But I’m in sc your welcome to it
Enjoyed

My wife has pink tools that don't get used too
Hey 👋 guys
Roby is Matt trying take over you're work ha ha
Do an emblem delete! easier to detail and looks better.
👍👍 Always enjoy your videos. Happy Thanksgiving Weekend ❣️
Wouldn't this be a great time to install a HD aftermarket bumper?
Love this😊
Now I understand why insurance costs so much. It’s unreal.
I can not believe $1800 for a headlight assembly. Love seeing you back to your history...😊😊😊😊
They were actually fairly lucky with as little damage that was done when he hit the dear. It very well could have caused much more damage than it did.
Nicely done! Enjoyed seeing the process!
Forgot the broken side step
The deer didn't have insurance lol It was a hit and run
Well that’s one way to get a deer.😅
What software do you use for the cataloging and invoice generation?
That was interesting, thanks for the behind the scenes look!
👍

Parts extremely expensive if they’re even available.
Does the insurance pay for original or do they pay only for aftermarket replacement parts ?
wait for new tariffs and parts will get another 25% more expensive :(

Hows the 🦌
All those GM bumper parts looked pretty flimsy, certainly didn't look like almost 10gs worth.
❤
Very cool and very expensive. God damn. 🤟😎🇦🇺
Matt’s kid must have a really good paying job….
Kaytlyn will tell you how to do everything
Best husband and wife date on whole TH-cam! ❤😂
Poor deer… 😮😢
1800 headlight ..... Ouch
Gday guys
I love what you are doing mat
if the bumper was so weak it folds up from a deer strike why replace it with the same thing. put a bullbar on it.

Wow that's huge, how do you earn that much? I'm 37 years old and I've been looking for ways to be successful, please how??

Yes that was good to see
Noticed family picture on computer had 4 children? Was I seeing it wrong?
Tjis was good to see. I loved how at 9:26 you were all 'sombody's worked on this' 😂 Like you caught Colin cheating on you with another shop!!!
With your experience, what is the worse insurance company to work with ?
"she likes pink tools. I don't get it."
She the man who only uses red drills😂😂😂
Appreciate the extra videos

I was actually hoping to see some auto body insurance process content. Very interesting!
They hit a deer or elephant?
The reason I buy nothing but arb bull bar bumpers for all my 4wheel drive vehicles keep up the great content
I lost ALL respect and interest in Collin / MOR when he CHILDISHLY / mockingly laughed while DESTROYING a perfectly good Landcruiser. He knew many people would cringe at what he was doing, yet had the gall to giggle like a little girl while doing it.
Get over yourself. Colin tore up a turd land cruiser. BFD.
