James Blunt joins us in the studio to talk about his new song 'Monsters'. The song is about saying goodbye to his father after the possibility became more likely because of his father's poor health. James's father has stage four chronic kidney disease and James revealed on the show that he would be having a kidney transplant tomorrow to hopefully save his life.

My dad died an hour ago.... Only just got over the pain thanks to James blunts song now I'm laughing all the way to the funeral, thanks got the song James you fairy.

I love him, his songs and his voice. I used to listen and love him about 20yrs ago. And then all of the sudden he's back singing Monsters, when my father is dying for cancer. Maybe he's been here all of the time but I just haven't got the time checking with life and shite. Love you James! ❤

I just looked up James Blunt's father and it says he is still with us at the age of 77, I really hope this it true. I lost my father at a young age and I also lost my best friend to Kidney disease at 34, so I know the pain of loss. God bless them all.
Yes, a distant cousin was able to give his Dad a kidney and he recovered from his illness.
