This video provides a solution for a common error (E19) that affects Bosch, Neff, and Siemens dishwashers. To resolve the issue, users need to acquire a heat exchange valve solenoid system and disassemble the machine. This video gives detailed instructions on how to drain the water, detach the electrical contacts, and install the new system correctly. Additionally, users are advised to use an antibacterial spray to prevent bacteria growth when the machine is not in use. It is emphasized to disconnect all electric and water sources before attempting any repairs.
This error can be a frustrating and time-consuming issue for many dishwasher owners. However, with the right knowledge and techniques, it can be easily resolved. By understanding the root cause of the error and implementing the appropriate steps, you can save yourself the hassle of calling a repair technician and potentially save money on costly repairs.
Don't let the E19 error disrupt your daily routine. Take control of the situation and become an expert in resolving this issue. With this comprehensive guide, you'll be able to troubleshoot and fix the error in no time. Say goodbye to the frustration and hello to a smoothly running dishwasher.

Thank you for this! E19 came up on Thursday! Ordered the part for £19 and arrived Saturday ! Fitted with no hassle and working hours before we host a 40th birthday party for my fiancé! Much appreciated… had to half turn the old valve to release the trapped water!

Thank you, saved me a pile of money been able to fix myself.
    Issues I found that might help others are;
    1) The matrix water tank doesnt empty out on the floor as I was expecting but back into the machine when you move the valve that's in place, I was ready for a mini flood that never happened...
    2) To fit the new valve in place I removed the 2 retaining screws in the middle of the matrix water tank, wedged in a knife half way up on the left hand side to make some space, then put the valve in place and I used a fork as its got a curve to push and twist the new valve into it's holder, get down low and make sure the inside clip is in place...
    A very straightforward job.

Another grateful viewer! Thanks for taking the time to do this video, saved me easily three figures on repair or replacement! I found it I rotated the valve nearly all the way out then pushed on it the drain process was a lot faster. Brilliantly clearly explained all the way through.

As long as the water doesn't splash onto the machine internals, this is a good tip. Thank you.

Absolutely brilliant. A new heat exchanger cost about £20. Bit fiddly putting it in. And reckoned it was better to put the black washer in first rather than when round the new bit. Works a treat. Many thanks.

Great Video - just installed the part. was a bit fiddly but got there in the end and saved paying €500 for a new Bosch model. Valve cost €29.30 inc shipping from Bosch. Thanks a lot!!

Thank you! Works the same on our Siemens dishwasher!
If you’re reading and about to start on yours:
As others also mentioned, you might be able to first turn the valve and then unplug the wires, that’s easier than trying to unplug first.
My new valve unit is a tiny bit bigger than the old. Instead of forcing it in try to file away a bit of plastic that was in the way.
Also, pushing in the new one so that the rubber O ring sits nicely and the ‘wings’ of the valve line up with the slots (there’s one on the back side too, make sure the valve is in straight) took quite some force. Wiggle and push.

It's a Thumbs up from me, thanks to you I solved E19 error code,
    Few additional points
BLUE connector can come away from main body.
Infact I found it easier its just couple of prongs which can be pulled away with small flat screwdriver.
Remember there are two 'winged flanged' retainers both need to be in cut out slots ✨️
Once again thanks for uploading this video 👏 👏 👍

...many thanks, followed your demo to the letter and it seems to have worked a treat...yes the replacement valve was hard to put back in...I would add take out the two screws in the middle of the water container as well as the two side clips for a bit more room ...If we hadn't found your demo we may well have bought a new dishwasher...so thanks again.

Excellent video. Have exactly the same model with the same E:19 error displaying. I did google and Bosch website says it's an issue with a valve and would require a service engineer to come and fix.
I figured there might be something I could so myself and your video is exactly what I needed.
I have drained the heat exchanger tank etc by removing the old valve but I had to order a new valve and hasn't arrived yet. But should do the trick. I'll let you know by reply to this in the comments.

Excellent video, helped me solve my problem. I found that pushing down on the valve, rather than pushing the clip bit to the left, was easier on fingers and quicker.
I saw someone state they also incurred an E15 error afterwards. I too drained all water, but got this fault. I believe this can be rectified properly from other TH-cam videos (video idea for you perhaps)!
Note: I think the E15 was from having to tip/wiggle the unit back in/probably sloshed any remaining water about a tad!

For me I couldn't get it to drain at all with the solenoid still in place.
Once I'd unclipped the tank and quarter rotated the solenoid, I was able to wiggle it out just enough to drain into the u-bend and not onto the floor.

I agree, water and electricity shouldn't mix...

This video wsa great, despite the valve being a little devil to put in place.

It's the trickiest part, definitely worth highlighting.

Thanks for the video, really clear and very helpful. My question is about the order in which you do the repair and I wonder if it could be done slightly differently. Regarding the removal of electrical clip from the part, could this wait until after the draining and after the part has been turned? It's tricky to access but after turning it would be easier, or is there a good reason why not to do it this way?

Yes you're right, when making this video, I was worried that people would splash water on the internal electrical parts, so I made the decision to go slow and steady, it's safer, and easier to control, however slower to drain.
The advantage of the slow drain way is, if you need to stop the water draining out, you can put the plug/part back in.

Thank you very much from Slovakia! I am now making test run, error 19 gone. Still checking, if any leakage found.

I have tried to turn the valve clockwise but it will not move, could I put a grip plyer on it ?

There is a small grey round drain valve at the bottom of the inside of the machine.

Your video was easy to follow, part switched in 15 min. But still E19. Drain clear, matrix clean, Called a guy, he checked resistance on all exposed sensors and even changed the Heat pump. All still E19. Now, if I try to start it, there is a "rrr, rrr,rrr click click' sound that sounds like a pump is trying to spin up three times and click, click, somethings not engaging. Water doesn't come in. when push the power button off, there is a CLICK from the same area underneath. Guy's quote for new PCB is £300 but 3-4 weeks away! Machine is 8YO. It's a Series 6, 45 Panel front so not easy to replace. Any suggestions? Can I replace the PCB myself with the correct part? Is this really what it could be? Everything else electrically seems fine....

The pcb is tricky, but can be swapped out fairly quick. (keep everything dry)

@@JJcorrosive I have seen 'programmed' and 'unprogrammed' units. The Bosch replacement part 12011174 is £194. Ive never replaced a PCB. I don't solder. Does the linked board just pop in the existing white housing? The PCB is at the bottom, on the opposite side of any water...
