Every "hair me out" video I have ever watched has always left me underwhelmed. The final result never matches up with what they say they are doing.

I've always found checking out the insta about a week to month later, you'll usually see the "worn in" style when it's not brand new and it tends to look very nice

@@Priyanshiiiiiiiiii The only thing Id say with this young lady is maybe she should let her hair grow out more because it does look damaged from highschool till now... But it isn't just hair a person with virgin hair can be insecure you can tell by how they relate to people

Why do the hair dressers never listen to their customer?
I'm a hairdresser but before that I was a very frustrated client so I make it a point to listen very carefully to my clients and either show them pictures or have them bring me pictures to make sure we're on the same page
Tubylubrx I’m a hairdresser but I’m also very particular with how I want my own hair done so I make it a point to make sure the client is getting exactly what they’re asking for, and if that’s not able to happen then I explain why that is.

Tubylubrx Maybe it's time to find a new hair stylist. Also, just for the sake of playing devil's advocate, we don't know what further discussion took place regarding the specific colors off camera. But the end result did not resemble the rainbow mermaid effect that they first showed.

that’s not what i really expected from a pastel mermaid... it’s not mermaid at all, not really pastel either. like it looks like a combination of grey and purple, which is cool, but so many people have done this by now it just doesn’t look fresh. from all of the hair trends this one got real boring real quick. and the name doesn’t fit at all.
imagine mermaid hair: it’s like bright vibrant reds, blues and greens. and pastel colours are soft pinks, violets and blues. and you could’ve done some crazy mermaid colours at the top and kinda make a gradient into softer pastel colours, making just a beautiful combination of colours of your choice, but this one just looks a lil dull and just not interesting at all. at least, to me.
And think about how much this cost to do to her hair for an underwhelming result....🤔
Anna L. I just googled and found pictures of how this hair SUPPOSED to be and it looks nothing like this at all. In fact, I found a video from a girl that did pastel mermaid ombre hair herself and it looks waaaay better than what they have done there. why even bother going to the salon

Man their hair dying videos never satisfy me. It's like they don't ever know how to go bright, always too patchy and then they have to cover it up with darker colors

Agreed, you could even still see yellow poking through in some spots. Still pretty great for only bleaching the hair once though. They should have bleached it one more time on the ends.

When they said mermaid, i was thinking of something colorful. I was really excited but when I saw the end product, it was very underwhelming.
I’m so surprised at how many people dislike this. I saw the end result and immediately thought it looked gorgeous. I thought the comment section would be impressed.
I think the issue is that a lot of people felt it wasn't true to the title
she does look great, but I believe she would look great with any other colour (I think it's her tanned skin that works well from anything from pastels to dark hair). But the title said pastel mermaid, and this isn't really what people have in mind when they hear "pastel mermaid".
But... she bleached it and it looked very light and now it looks just as dark as when she started...

In order to achieve the purple that was put in her hair you have to bleach it and then tone out the yellow before you put any fun colors on her hair... if they put the purple on her natural hair you would not see any change what so ever... and she started with about a level 2 and left at about a level 7 so no she doesn’t have hair as dark as her natural
i had a color like this and it did not have to be bleached this light... waste of time
The color has to grab. They have to remove all the black hair pigment/hair color and then deposit new color for it to come out deep and the way they want

I can honestly say that I completely get where she is coming from. As a fellow Asian known for always having fun and vibrant hair colors; i was literally told “you aren’t you without your hair; you are your hair” and all that other thing.
Like yes hair is a great part of us but at the same time, it shouldn’t define us.
Asian, American, Persian, whoever you are, hair should NEVER define someone. If someone said that to me, first they will have a piece of my mind and secondly, I will ditch them immediately. I am ME, all of it 🙏
