  • Just picked up this immaculate Sabre today in the rain. Super clean, like new, and nearly flawless. Just over 6000 miles. 2 sets of keys and original owners manual? Sweet. Sold. And Yes, I know, I need a new helmet for this ride. More to come…..

    Sabre design is in between the stateline and the fury.

      According to Wikipedia, "Beyond the chopper-style Fury, the VT1300C line offered three conventional cruiser models for 2010, all of which remain in the lineup for 2014: Sabre, Interstate and Stateline.[57] Honda previously used both the Interstate and Sabre names for other models, the most recent being the VT1100C2 Shadow Sabre." At some point all of these except the Fury was discontinued. The Fury is still available as a new bike today.

      Funny you ask about the Sabre. I just got it out of the shed today, dusted it off and took it for a ride. Check out Sean, from SRK cycles, take on the fury, sabre, stateline, interstate. th-cam.com/video/bfPFpzSobiY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=zA4cDHoVWBpu32Ms&t=563

    Why don’t the major motorcycle manufacturers make nice cruisers like this anymore? Right now all you can get is 800 and 900 cc cruisers from most companies. It’s just not enough power. It appears that most people who buy these underpowered bikes don’t keep them very long. These are hundreds of them for sale. There are still quite a few big bore cruisers available, but they won’t last forever. Eventually Harley will be the only big displacement cruisers available. The motorcycle companies act like they are only interested in confirming to the taste of the younger riders. Motorcycles are luxury items and are usually not in the budget of younger families who are building there lives and raising children. Us 40 something plus riders are at the age when there is money available to buy such things. When will they wake up and realize that. There isn’t anything at the bike shops appealing to me. A bunch of underpowered plastic cruisers or crotch rockets for younger riders or first time riders. Your Honda is a very nice ride. I’m going to pickup a new to me VTX today.

    Where did you get your risers?

    • @chasmoto8217
      @chasmoto8217  ปีที่แล้ว

      The bike had 2" risers when I first got it. I have since removed the risers and put everything back to stock. I didn't like how the wiring was loose, the brake line wasn't how it should be and the throttle cable was incorrectly routed. All back to stock now. Not sure what brand of risers they are.
