Part of me is still bitter about Jon basically getting forced into exile after all the wars are won and he finishes doing everyone’s dirty work. But honestly I kind of have come to like it, he never wanted the iron throne and he would hated being King of Westeros in the rat’s nest of kings landing. And even in the North he’d have Sansa bitching at him the entire time and a bunch of hard headed lords who would have all died if he hadn’t of knelt to Dany but still refuse to recognize that. The Freefolk are the only ones who generally appreciate him and aren’t always demanding he do something for them, they accept him for who he is and I hope he finds peace with them.
I mean you are right ofc but if you think about it him not wanting the Iron Throne is the very reason he would be a good king (like the only one in the last few decades). I really hope the upcoming Snow series will show us a better ending for him cuz he deserves it. Also i understand he had to be punished somehow but i don't like how they treated him and the wildlings (i mean i know it was their decision cuz they just would follow Jon everywhere he goes). Still they could at least given the wildlings lands to farm cuz the white walkers were not the only reason they wanted to get on the other side of the Wall but also the scarcity of food. As we know the conditions there are much harsher than the ones in Westeros and it just seems unfair as they helped them in the war with the Night King's army and in return they have to go back there
This is the ending Jon truly deserves. He may not be king of the throne, but he has the free folk who would follow him no matter where he goes. They already look up to him like a god, so you know what they say, why be a king when you can be a god.
I love Jon’s ending, just not how he got there. If they would have at least acknowledged Jon’s heritage and tried to get him to be king while he refused that would be perfect
The irony is that Jon’s punishment was exactly what he always wanted. To be free beyond the wall with the wildlings and ghost and live his life there. Not as a bastard or a commander or a king but just as himself. And ghost made it to the very end the only one of his brothers and sisters to get to live and stay with him human.

It's kinda dumb how there's still a land "beyond the wall" It would make sense if people of the seven kingdoms or even Essos make settlements there and creating new houses and cities Just like people rushed to the new world when the Americas were discovered
I like this ending for Jon, he belongs north of the wall. Recall when Ned found the direwolf pups, they all said that a direwolf doesn't belong south of the wall. This was a sign that Jon, the white wolf, shouldn't be south of the wall either. Him and Ghost are now north of the wall as they should be.

He’s Batman. Literally compare the two. Batman and Jon Snow. Their stories are far too similar. Both of their lives they threw away and devoted to a cause that would dominate the rest of their lives. Jon Snow is the Batman of A Song of Ice and Fire
@@Lawdsnaxx Except that Batman was able to have a life afterwards based off the Dark Knight Rises, whereas Jon Snow was forced beyond the wall, disconnected from everything. I would argue his fate was even worse, they are certainly similar though.
Comes back with a army of men and giants. Dire Wolves and Dragons. Takes the 7 kingdoms. Reforges the Iron Throne with those that betrayed him. Aegon the Reborn Conquer
Didn't saw any leadership from him in S8. The most useless character in S8. Delete his scenes and you miss nothing from the story line, if you can call it that.
It ain't over. Bran is Evil Jon will find out and be forced out of retirement to take back Westeros. "Lord Snow you'll be fighting their battles forever"
His ending is similar to Cap America in endgame.... After all the wars and fightings he finally found his own simple life and destiny which he always wanted ❤
Pretty interesting, like a stark fanfic, Bran the Broken, King of the Six Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm, Sansa Stark, Queen of The North, Arya Stark, Queen of America, Jon Snow/Stark/Targaryen, King Beyond the Wall...
Just completed my first rewatch of Thrones since the live viewing, one thing that REALLY stood out is just how amazing of a character Tormund is and how pitch perfect he was played and acted. Not just the humorous bits, but his depth as a person and his unceasing loyalty to those he deems worthy of it (Jon). He's an honorable reflection of Westerosi ideals in the Freefolk, and frankly an ending where Jon gets to live out his days in the company of a truly loyal friend is a good one. The Bromance that was Promised. If they had let the narrative breathe and S8 was at least 9-10 episodes, this could've developed into a perfect ending.
Don’t know if anyone cares but I love how Jon Snow reunites with Ghost Also something I think would be cool but I doubt would happen but I hope Jon gets to hatch/raise a dragon of his very own.
In the end. Ned and Catyln are smiling. A stark sits on throne in kings landing. A stark is back in control of the north. And a stark is now the leader of the free folk. Never Leave one wolf alive
The true king, the last of House Targaryan, Aegon Targaryan, sixth of his name, aka Jon Snow, Son of Rhaegar Targaryan and Lyanna Stark, leads his people beyond the wall
I like to imagine Jon finding someone and falling in love again. Getting married even. Establishing an 8th kingdom of Westeros. Having children and establishing his own great house. A house of legend, of Targaryen and Stark descent, blood of the old Valyria and of the first men, Valyrian magic and Stark magic. It's the kind of story people would tell for ages.
The symbology of the gate shutting is hilarious once you remember the entire eastern end of the wall is gone. They can just walk through whenever they want
I really loved Jon going to the real north, but i hated how they did it, it should have been his choice. In fact i loved the first 30 min of the ending but then became really shitty.
So, I've been watching these scenes from GoT all day, and I've come to a hypothesis: the value of writing in a show is inversely proportional to the number of montage scenes.
Honestly this is a good deal for Jon.Him and the free folk can go north again, forever free of the white walkers. They can live without the rules of kings and queens, without the wars, politics, backstabbings, and nastiness of the seven kingdom. There beyond the wall Jon can live freely, where he was happiest, where he first fell in love and where he found true friends. There is no poverty, no more petty rules or corrupt officials, there people live by hunting, fishing and trading goods, moving where they please and exploring places untouched by people. There's no more Crasters keep, or nightwatch to attack the wildings.Beyond the wall, the people live free and happy, free from all the constraints of the seven kingdoms.Maybe Jon will explore new areas, meet other giants who will join him as allies, fall in love again and have a family, maybe the wildings will build their own great city, who knows.Beyond the wall, Jon becomes king beyond the wall, where not by royal blood or brute force does one become king, but by being chosen by equals, who choose to follow him.
Jon is my favorite character in throughout the series. He was always selfless and ready to sacrifice. No scheming, no backstabbing. A true soldier and worthy King
He's been fighting between Snow and Targaryen in his head for almost a year. He can't be a king, the prince doesn't have to be a king, but he can suffer forever as an eternal warrior. The debt from him has already been taken away by two women, and even his cousins were kicked out of the wall, book John would immediately realise that he was no longer necessary for them and became an obstacle to their power and in fact Daenerys was right about the old world, he continued the cycle from his submission.
I love the memes that were about everyone's endings: - Sansa's reign being a tragedy for the North showing her ineptitude for ruling - Arya's voyage being doomed as they run out of supplies because they couldn't find land - and Jon just chilling with his freefolk bros up north, getting unlimited wilding p$$y and hanging out with Tormund and Ghost.
It's super unclear how Arya's voyage is supposed to end. It's hard to imagine any ending where she doesn't starve to death either on her ship or some barren rock she finds. I can't imagine that's how the writers envisioned her life's story ending.
Honestly this is probably the only thing I liked about season 8. While disappointing, Jon got the best possible ending for himself, he didn’t want to be Ned Stark’s bastard, lord commander, The king of the north, nor the Heir to the iron throne, everyone looked at him with hatred and jealousy except the Free folk, they didn’t care who his family was, they liked Jon for who he is.

Jon Snow, the King Beyond the Wall. So basically, the Starks own ALL OF Westeros.
If the Jon Snow sequel series does become a reality, then Jon's happiness in "the real North" won't last...
In the end, the free folks are the real winners. They got two kings who do not want to be kings but are ready to lay down their lives for the people
Jon and who is the other one?
Perfect ending for Jon Snow. Couldn't have ended better.
Jon is ultimately starting a new kingdom cus he has people that will always want to follow their beloved king, and that wall is going to melt cus things are now growing beyond it. I’ve grown to really like this ending.
Things were growing before that as well. There is a whole forest there.
The wildings bow to no one, they don't consider Jon their king.
@@voluntarism335NO, but they look at him as some type of GOD. They don't have to kneel, but they know who their "king" is. You forgot about Mance?
@@lrlavalais2068 They voluntarily followed Mance, they did not consider him their ruler
It's kinda dumb how there's still a land "beyond the wall"
It would make sense if people of the seven kingdoms or even Essos make settlements there and creating new houses and cities
Just like people rushed to the new world when the Americas were discovered
King Beyond The Wall!!
King beyond the wall!
King Beyond The Wall!!!
The King beyond the Wall

@@davevd9944 that too.
This is what Jon’s speciality
Even after known as a bastard and not wanting the throne
Wherever he goes he ends up king
I like this ending for Jon, he belongs north of the wall.
Recall when Ned found the direwolf pups, they all said that a direwolf doesn't belong south of the wall. This was a sign that Jon, the white wolf, shouldn't be south of the wall either. Him and Ghost are now north of the wall as they should be.
Well there's more to come
John was someone who would be King wherever he lived!!
The free folk truly accepted him for who he was and as one of their own
Jon needs a movie. Probably the only character that could have one. Jon and drogon reunite to save the world one last time. Writes itself
jon was really an cursed guy damn i feel so bad for him
all he has done after leaving winterfell was fight fight and fight he had no control over his own life and decisions

Would love for Jon to come back south of the wall with a wilding wife and kids with white hair, symbolising his Targaryen bloodline
Idk I feel like his love life is botched have killing his queen
Who knows maybe in another 10-15 years when the characters actors are aged up a bit.
Well Val has blond hair
That'll ruined his character imo. Has no motive to come back north
@@bulldogsbob he’s 10,000% gonna end up with Val at the end of the books when he leaves for the north

He is the King in the North.. the true North
The got opening was in the same woods where it ended. Awesome indeed!
THE TRUE KING BEYOND THE WALL
1:36 ❤...the great song
Who's here after knowing news about the return of Jon Snow in a sequel of Game of Thrones? 🙂😍
😊😊😊😊😊
the true king beyond the wall 😢
I just love that Ghost survived it all and is with Jon north of the wall where they belong
They went with the music. But i wouldn't have minded hearing my boy Tormund one more time.
All where understood that he was the real KING👑
All hail the king beyond the wall Jon snow!
Don’t know if anyone cares but I love how Jon Snow reunites with Ghost Also something I think would be cool but I doubt would happen but I hope Jon gets to hatch/raise a dragon of his very own.
next series needs to have a wildling wife like ygrette maybe her sister and batch of kids.
I'm glad because at the end Jon deserves this ending, will be happy with persons that care and they care for him.
The only great thing about the final season. The great man leads the NORTH away from petty squabbles finally free to lead.
In the end. Ned and Catyln are smiling. A stark sits on throne in kings landing. A stark is back in control of the north. And a stark is now the leader of the free folk. Never Leave one wolf alive
He's back.
The ending adhered to the theme. Thats what i loved about it. Everyone got what they always wanted.
It ended like it began, at the wall and what lies beyond
The true king, the last of House Targaryan, Aegon Targaryan, sixth of his name, aka Jon Snow, Son of Rhaegar Targaryan and Lyanna Stark, leads his people beyond the wall
We are all coming here again after watching the 1st episode of House of the Dragon because of the music 🔥🔥🔥
It's a perfect ending if Ygritte is still alive. Atleast Jon can still found happiness beyond the wall.
5 years later and i still cant believe this is the ending we got...
The way he almost smiles at the end. Jon is happy finally
That's what he'll probably do in TWOW (if it's released, of course) after he's resurrected!
And in the utter-most north, the last of the Targaryen blood, mingled with the blood of Stark, the first men... the King Beyond the Wall... waits.
It’s hard to believe 5 years ago today it ended
Ramsey Bolton: “If you think this has a happy ending you haven’t been paying attention”
D&D: “Hold my Latte”
Behold Jon Snow king beyond the wall
The symbology of the gate shutting is hilarious once you remember the entire eastern end of the wall is gone. They can just walk through whenever they want
Jon became King beyond the wall because no matter what he had the love and respect of the Free Folk who qould always have hus back

And the trees man!!! If you see closely their leaves seem green. Summer is coming to the wall!
That and the winter rose growing in the wall prophecy from the books. Not like D&D care anymore
Global Warming...
I like that the Starks rule everything now, Bran the ruler of the 6 kingdoms, Sansa the Queen of the north, and Jon as much of a king beyond the wall.
The Starks' male line ends with Bran since he can't have kids. Jon is a Targaryen.
@@davidlee723John is 50 % stark and literally fire and ice. Your last name doesn’t define your whole bloodline.
I love that Jon is free to be king of the true north but I hate that it wasn’t his choice
Yeah, king of a frozen icy piece of shit.
first time hear this intro song was....like an aeons ago, felt like nostalgic
I love the memes that were about everyone's endings:
- Sansa's reign being a tragedy for the North showing her ineptitude for ruling
- Arya's voyage being doomed as they run out of supplies because they couldn't find land
- and Jon just chilling with his freefolk bros up north, getting unlimited wilding p$$y and hanging out with Tormund and Ghost.
It's super unclear how Arya's voyage is supposed to end. It's hard to imagine any ending where she doesn't starve to death either on her ship or some barren rock she finds. I can't imagine that's how the writers envisioned her life's story ending.
Love it! Plain and simple bro
This isn't an end it's a beginning
I hope not. Let the misery of S8 end.
