I love how Disney transcends generations. One little mouse connects us all. Everyone has a fond Disney memory.....everyone. I remember being little & going to my friends grandma's house. Her grandma told us how she saw Snow White when it was first released. The magic & twinkle in her eye as she told her story to us is something I will never forget. For that moment she was a child again. My dad gave me his Mickey Mouse watch that he had as a kid. He is gone now & it is something that I cherish along with my love of cartoons that he passed on to me. I just spent the morning with my aunt & uncle and our conversation went to our trip to Disney World. I mean it started because I ordered orange juice & my aunt brought up the fact that it was freshly squeezed & would have pulp....she wasn't gonna send it back like when we were at Disney lol. I mean....c'mon....I was 5....juice with floaty things....yuck lol. I'm over that now that I'm in my 40's. But we wouldn't have these shared moments without Mr. Disney & for that I am thankful.

This museum was the catalyst for breaking my over two decade streak of avoiding Disneyland. When I decided to visit on a whim, I didn't know or understand what the multiplane camera was and I didn't really care, and kept up too quick of a pace. It sparked something in me nevertheless. I would love to go back soon so I can go back and really take my time in there. Thank you for the visit, even if it was cut short.

That's odd. I volunteered at the museum several days a week for a solid year and a half and not once did any of my supervisors mention vlogging not being allowed. I'd see people in there all the time with cameras narrating the experience and even did so myself a couple times in front of other museum staff. The only photography rule I was aware of was the standard no flash pictures or video lighting. Must be a new rule implemented in the past year or so.

I've been to The Walt Disney Family Museum with my parents back in August 2010 which was 9 years ago in the summer. It wasn't bad until it got to the sad part which was Walt Disney's death. Please get this, Adam. My dad went nuts over the Pinocchio exhibit. This was because he remembered going to the theaters back then to see it before TV was invented. He was shocked at the sight of the multiplane camera and said, "That's a big mother". My dad noticed that it was enormous when he saw it that day. Not to be rude, but you sound like James Woods and Beetlejuice when you recorded this video. LOL! Thumbs up if you wish that Walt Disney would be alive forever and make dreams come true every day.

Going to this museum is one of mine and my husband's most cherished dates. We still really want to go back, but just haven't had a chance to. It sucks that they don't let you film. I'm pretty surprised you got as far as you did. I have few pictures to show for the memory. The other thing we regret is we didn't realize how jam packed this museum was and we had to rush a little bit, so we always recommend 3ish hours for anybody who's never been before. Plus, additional time (and money) if you want to shop in the giftshop afterwards which offers unique Disney memorabilia. I really do wish my husband and I can make it back someday.

Great video Adam! I vlogged from this museum a couple of years ago, luckily didn't have any trouble back then, kind of a bummer that they stopped you (especially as it seemed like you went on a quiet day). It'd be nice if they would be a little lenient depending on maybe how disturbing it is to other guests; I can understand if they get obnoxious younger youtubers in there with selfie sticks etc, but surely filming the museum whilst commenting isn't hurting anybody... Anyway, what a great museum; hopefully you enjoyed it as much as I did and anybody who wants to see more can check out other vlogs or go themselves.

It is a wonderful exhibit of Walt's life. I visited there last year, and it did also remind me and underline, however, how special the ~real~ Disney experience is, in terms of 'guest relations.' Your experience with being told the rules 'no vloggers' brings back memories of my trip there, and how---though it is fantastic to see so much of his life, and I also highly recommend it to anyone who loves Walt---the museum itself just made me even more aware and appreciative of how Walt wanted guests to be treated...as guests, with warm hospitality. This museum is not a Disney property, so naturally that kind of service is not necessarily to be expected. It was kind of weird, I guess, having Walt everywhere, but not feeling like it was a true Disney environment that we're all used to. 😊 Does that make sense? 😁 Definitely worth visiting, though. The place is full of SO much history! 👏😃
But...the last part of the museum is very emotional, indeed. Especially for those of us who have any memory of that day in 1966 when Mickey cried. 😢

I went to this place when they had displayed all the art and animatics they had done for Snow White. That was a lot of fun and very interesting to see all the effort and hard work put into the sketches, cell art, water color, and animatics/animation done for the movie. I also enjoyed the interactive sound booth where you had to try and sync the sound to the cartoon clip of Steam Boat Willy. Would like to go again when my friends are available and we're raring to go to SF.

They should have let you vlog the whole way through, your a very loyal fan of Disney. Been to Disney Museum the first time I visited San Francisco and it is an awesome museum. I liked the a Disneyland model in the lower level a lot. Great vlog Adam, I hope next time they grant you permission to vlog the whole museum. 👍👍
