It’s SO bizarre to think a concert is your “safe space”. You can be excited to see an artist you like without putting this weird, emotional expectation on it.
arguably one of the least physically safe locations you can be in; prime target for T-rism, people drinking all around you, tightly packed next to total strangers with unknown mental states, people pushing and shoving to get closer to the stage (for standing locations) i get that they want to have fun, but these people need a non-harmful reality check.

Exactly. I flew to Europe especially for that show because they have been strict on border control. Totally safe traveling solo. But that’s the ONLY country I would have gone to her concert and alone. I don’t feel Safe going to any in the USA either

I was hired to patrol the women's rooms at a venue to keep men out during Rock shows in 1980. I was at a Rush show to see the crowd and recognized the venues' security supervisor as a guy I knew from the diner, Sambos. He knew that I had 5 older brothers and I wouldn't be intimated by a guy in the wrong bathroom. He asked me for a favor and said, "I'll have to put you on payroll." If I'd had the ticket price available I still couldn't have spent it on a concert ticket. ... so you want to pay me minimum wage to see a concert that I'd pay money to see? @dreamwalked The problem is millions of migrants from Islamic countries have had their lands destroyed by western countries spanning from Morocco to Pakistan so there's almost zero way in telling who's an extremist and who isn't, so restricting countries as a whole is a much better solution than blaming everyone else. Just to clarify, the 17-year-old accomplice who was working inside the stadium WAS NOT working security. Instead, he was hired a few days before the concert by a third-party facilities company that was supposed to be working the day of the concert, however his plan was to let his accomplices in.
Another thing to clarify: the 19-year-old was ethnically North Macedonian, the 17-year-old was Turkish Croatian, and I'm not sure what ethnicity the 15-year-old is, but they were all Austrian citizens. They are all likely to have been born in Austria (although I'm not sure how Austrian citizenship works). The third suspect that was arrested was of Iraqi citizenship, however it is very likely that the 19 and 17 year olds were radicalized online as they swore an oath through telegram. So it is unlikely that immigration caused this, and very likely caused by online radicalization

Four years ago people were shut in their homes due to the pandemic, not a lot of big events going on to be sabotaged or attacked, has nothing to do with who was running the government. 🙄 Thank goodness a tragedy was avoided, and thank goodness for the security working hard to prevent any attacks.

Some influencer in Romania was saying how her friend had multiple tickets, already went to 2 other European concerts but is "devastated" that she cannot go to the others. When I asked why a grown woman goes to the same concert so many times (especially since other fans weren't able to find tickets) I got blocked. Apparently asking normal questions nowadays is bullying. In a way I am sad that the concerts were stopped. Some fans would have needed some wake up calls.
I went to the Eras tour and it was absolutely amazing, worth my life? never. given the history of the tour with the girl dying due to heatstroke cancelling the show was 100% needed, im glad they learned from their mistakes from last time when it wasn't canceled.

Thank you for speaking up on this issue. I, a 26 year old man, had planned and been looking forward to Vienna N3 for over a year. I had all my outfits ready and once the news started pouring in I was empty and devastated. Additionally I had to read those people hating against my gender and citing it as the cause of these cancellations. That really felt even worse. I might not agree with you concerning the issue and the EU not caring about 'illegal immigrants' (not only because those guys were Austrian citizens by birth), but I think it's important to talk about this. Yes technically those were men, planning the attacks. But just as this weren't 'muslims ruining it for us once again' it wasn't 'them men'. Those were radicalized idiots, but by saying that it's the gender posing the problem, we turn blind on the actual issues causing stuff like this to happen (for example a lackluster integration of mostly young people with different backgrounds)

this is just terrible. my brother (16) was talking to me and I brought up the attack plans on the concert because I used to be a big fan of Taylor (I don't hate her or anything, I just don't listen much anymore) and I had been to the eras tour in person. I watched the movie in a theater with friends, and I watched at home too. my brother was laughing about it and said it was funny because he hates Taylor, but I was really mad about that. people like him just joke about it, but these kids actually TRIED to do it. there's definitely an issue with haters of Taylor Swift. nobody has to like her, but wishing death on people that support her and Taylor herself is such a terrible thing. somebody needs to look into these things more often because it won't end well.
I'm extremely critical of her but I don't "hate" her and would never wish harm on her or anyone who loves her. She's a good ULTRA successful artist I just wish she had a different personality and wrote better music lmao

The safety of millions of people should always come before any concert. Even the Eras Tour. Yes I said it. No human life is ever worth risking for a celebrity. Taylor Swift is not that important when looking at the big picture. Yeah it sucks that you missed seeing your favorite artist live but it’s not the end of the world. At least all you had to sacrifice was a concert trip and not your life or limbs (or both)

It’s SO bizarre to think a concert is your “safe space”. You can be excited to see an artist you like without putting this weird, emotional expectation on it.

Everyone complains when groups they support are wrongfully generalized, but will do it themselves for the groups they don’t support. Another thing to clarify: the 19-year-old was ethnically North Macedonian, the 17-year-old was Turkish Croatian, and I'm not sure what ethnicity the 15-year-old is, but they were all Austrian citizens. They are all likely to have been born in Austria (although I'm not sure how Austrian citizenship works). The third suspect that was arrested was of Iraqi citizenship, however it is very likely that the 19 and 17 year olds were radicalized online as they swore an oath through telegram. So it is unlikely that immigration caused this, and very likely caused by online radicalization

Some influencer in Romania was saying how her friend had multiple tickets, already went to 2 other European concerts but is "devastated" that she cannot go to the others. When I asked why a grown woman goes to the same concert so many times (especially since other fans weren't able to find tickets) I got blocked. Apparently asking normal questions nowadays is bullying. In a way I am sad that the concerts were stopped. Some fans would have needed some wake up calls.

Thank you for speaking up on this issue. I, a 26 year old man, had planned and been looking forward to Vienna N3 for over a year. I had all my outfits ready and once the news started pouring in I was empty and devastated. Additionally I had to read those people hating against my gender and citing it as the cause of these cancellations. That really felt even worse. I might not agree with you concerning the issue and the EU not caring about 'illegal immigrants' (not only because those guys were Austrian citizens by birth), but I think it's important to talk about this. Yes technically those were men, planning the attacks. But just as this weren't 'muslims ruining it for us once again' it wasn't 'them men'. Those were radicalized idiots, but by saying that it's the gender posing the problem, we turn blind on the actual issues causing stuff like this to happen (for example a lackluster integration of mostly young people with different backgrounds)

this is just terrible. my brother (16) was talking to me and I brought up the attack plans on the concert because I used to be a big fan of Taylor (I don't hate her or anything, I just don't listen much anymore) and I had been to the eras tour in person. I watched the movie in a theater with friends, and I watched at home too. my brother was laughing about it and said it was funny because he hates Taylor, but I was really mad about that. people like him just joke about it, but these kids actually TRIED to do it. there's definitely an issue with haters of Taylor Swift. nobody has to like her, but wishing death on people that support her and Taylor herself is such a terrible thing. somebody needs to look into these things more often because it won't end well.
