I was born in 97 and grow up with music like Avenged Sevenfold, Simple Plan, My Chemical Romance, Linkin Park, BFMV that kinda band, cause in 90 Rock, Punk, Progressive and metal was very popular genre in Indonesia and others country too.
I believe that since Indonesia has more than 700 different accent and languages, it is enable us to adapt for one accent to another easier compare to another countries. I witness many Indonesians speak another international languages where they sounds like a native. An huge example is an Indonesian famous singer: Anggun (speak fluent French) 😍
Here is what I learned about Felix from interviews I found in youtube. Felix lives in Jogjakarta which is one of famous tourist destinations after Bali. So, it's possible that he is able to speak English. He used to be a street musician to survive living in Jogjakarta far from his family. This is the reason why he sings and plays guitar. He is trained to master those skills. He also sings in wedding events and hotels (like many other Indonesian singers). He participated in one of singing competitions in Indonesia and coached by Agnes Mo. That competition and later on his youtube channel brought him to more singing jobs. I hope this info can help you. Most Indonesian vocalist or Filipino do have a slight accent but their talent is amazing...what impresses me its how they embrace the culture and soul of a foreign genre so well...for example Alipbata the guitarist...u need soul to play kickass blues or Jazz or Calssical but he's got it all and he is not even in the counry of origin of those genres where the natives are exposed to for a life time. It must have been their super passion for the arts.
