you prolly dont care but if you are stoned like me atm you can stream pretty much all of the latest movies on instaflixxer. Been watching with my brother for the last couple of days xD
6:31 As it was explained to me vulcan, ATGM's have to roll twice. The first time it fires, it rolls against the 60% accuracy to see if it is on target or not. Then after the missile travels half of its max distance, it rolls again against that same 60% accuracy to continue being on target or missing in that second half. So that 60% is essentially rolled against it twice, where 1 fail result causes the whole attack with the missile to miss. That is why ATGMs tend to miss more often.
Man it's funny, going back through your old wargame videos after you started posting these again and there's a huge difference in how you sound. You sound much more upbeat and happy in these videos. Can only be a good thing. Please keep the Wargame content coming, really enjoying it!
In the beginning, when you try to sneak your helo past, don't bring your fighters untill the last moment. I believe your helo was unspotted. But your eagles attracted their attention. They popped in the fighters and ground stuff that took down your rec cobra. Had you waited for the cobra to get in position you might have been able to get your sneak attack
I can say that I did, in fact, spot the AH-1J coming thanks to my recon helo hovering over Lima. It only got through because the ZSU-57-2s I had bought to cover off that flank against the like were 20 or so seconds too late getting into position, just in time to pepper the A-10 on approach.
"1980's war porn" hit the nail right on the head there lol. Awesome video, honestly can be more entertaining when the video maker doesn't win. Keep the Wargame Red Dragon content coming!
As an actual tank platoon leader irl, I gotta say... Those tactics weren't actually too bad. Not great, not terrible. I'd give it a solid 3.4 out of 5. :p
I'm the last person to feel inclined to comment on a YT vid, but dude, seriously... I feel like you could have very easily done way better in your pushes and in this match in general. Don't get me wrong, this is absolutely a tough map, because as you said: it's extremely symmetrical/divided along that main highway, and the terrain in between the sectors along that line definitely does not make it any easier, but this was tough to watch given how well you generally play. I've personally learned a lot from watching your casts and commentary when it comes to this game. I'm not sure if it was a result of your deck or what, but on first watch, I think there were some very blatant mistakes that led to this going how it did for you: not enough Recon across the board, lack of combined arms (like, that attempted push into Echo with the fuckton of Abrams early on would have been a cake walk with some infantry upfront and a bit more heli AA/fire support), and the huge issue, which you even jokingly commented on in the video, is the lack of smoke. You were literally running the best type of artillery in the meta for smoke and micro-ing it better than most people who play! I feel like you would have gained so much more ground had you smoked properly versus stunning T-80's here and there, which a few squads of decent inf and your insane number of Abrams would have waltzed over in close range anyways. I really enjoy Wargame content from you; I would absolutely love to see more. Like I said, your videos on this game have helped me to get better at it immensely, and anytime I see you upload a WG vid it's a guaranteed watch from me at this point, but man... you should have had this match, on your end at least. Still an enjoyable video for sure, and I'm sorry if this comment comes off as negative as that is really not the intent; more so I guess just come constructive criticism from someone who has watched your Wargame videos since the ALB, and who has very recently gotten back into RD and has actively been trying to get better at the game.
As the player opposite Vulcan for most of the game, yeah he could have totally rolled over me at multiple points if he'd pushed further to his left into or around Lima where it was just me with nary a T-80 in sight. Partly because I'm pretty bad, but mostly because, playing 1980 NK armored, I really had nothing to reliably counter Abrams other than praying for side shots (you saw how those MiG-21PFMs performed) and my infantry, my best source of HEAT, was also pretty expensive, at least compared to my 15-25pt tank tab. My next best option was to spam T-34/85s in ambush positions and hope they got enough hits in before their inevitable deaths. ...It's a really bad deck, but I also love its terrible stupidity. Don't ask me why I like that ZSU-57-2s and Type 80 SPAAGs make up 80+% of my AA or that my most powerful ground units are artillery, I just do.
hi Vulcan i got wargame and wargame red dragon on realise on steam but the intro to teach you how to play put me off are there still enough people playing who can help new players learn the game as you have rekindled my wish to go back and play the game especially in the era i was in the army in germany the 1980s
Excited to see more Wargame content again. Originally came to the channel for red dragon. Great content 😁

I serve the soviet union
This was a great match to watch
nice match
@VulcanHDGaming Always a pleasure
Great video I do like a good'ol wargame
At a certain point, calling it a "mini"gun stops being accurate. The Avenger is one such point. :D
You could smoke your cv and put it on echo (keep the smoke until some ground unit rush you)
