The royal mint thing is bs, it isn't "legal tender" its at the discretionary of the banks to accept it, usually its old people buy them, my gf uncle died and in his flat she found he had been buying and collecting these coins for many years and had accumulated lots of them, mainly the 5 pound coins,they're not worth a penny and definitely not "legal tender" its not uk currency at all. maybe on eBay we might be able to sell some but theres about £700 worth of them sitting in a jar unused along with every single "rare" 50p and two pound coins smh he probably bought them too as they are all very shiny and clean.

When I was younger and we saw someone filming it was a race to jump in front of the camera to yell "Hi Mom!" While today everyone is walking around with a broadcast quality camera in their pocket complaining that someone took their picture. Every time that you walk out of your front door there are at least 8 cameras recording your every move but no one care about those. And yes what those security guards did was Unlawful imprisonment and they are lucky the cops didn't want to do anything. Now the money... That is stupid and they should get arrested for theft of services.
A big difference is, is that these auditors tend to cover their faces either with scarves or balaclaves to avoid personal scrutiny. I don't mind knowing i'm being recorded in public its 2024 after all and its unavoidable, but its another ballgame having someone masked up 3ft away purposefully aiming a camera at me with intents to instigate.
