I have had it for about 6 months now, I haven’t used it much. I think once you get a perfect one the quality is great, but watch out for the defect and say no if the sales encourage you to get one with imperfections. I do use a bag insert because I don’t want it to get slouchy 😆 This is the one I use and it fits perfectly amzn.to/3tgorha
I think the ONTHEGO tote has become one of the iconic bags for LV. This was a gift from my family, I probably wouldn't spend so much money on a bag 🤣 I am thankful my family is supportive!
Yes the bag is for myself, I wished it had a crossbody strap because that’s how I like to carry my bag. If you don’t like the long straps you could leave it inside and people won’t see it when you carry the bag 😊
I have the pm version of this bag. It's an okay bag, but like a watch the actual tear down cost is about 10~14% of the retail cost. Most of what ppl are paying for is the value added by the brand and heritage. As long as there are enough people who believe in this... Then a market is created
I agree with most things you said, I do think with their price increases, their cost is way lower than 10-14% though. If they are able to continue to increase their price, it means they do have the market to support that.
@@cheesim the price increases over the past 25 years have helped them make a lot of folks think these are investments. To me they are not investments, unless they are very special models. Similar to rolex.... The founder of rolex didn't make the best watches. He was a master at marketing and price controls.

@@cheesim to get a custom made handbag made in tuscony Italy of the same quality as a one off, I think it would be able to be done for 250~280usd. Plus they never tell you that it's made in Italy by wen Zhou Chinese workers... Hahaha

Was it the coated canvas monogram version? Care tips... use your bag! Bags may get mold easily if it is sitting on the shelf for too long. Avoid rough surface, because nothing you can do if you get deep scratches. When you use the long shoulder straps, try not to load it up too much, the handles could split from the bag. 😅

I like hand carry, but if I need to free my hands, the shoulder straps are comfortable

I have heard that some companies have their bags partly made in China and then assembled in US or France and not stating those information.
