SYNOPSIS:
A modern day David and Goliath story - The Movie to Keep Tahoe True tells the epic saga of a mountain community rising up to defend the integrity of an incredible place.
When private equity and corporate developers came to Tahoe to transform Squaw Valley into a Vegas-style amusement park, they ran into a mountain of community commitment - organized as the movement to Keep Squaw True.
This is the inspiring story of the ongoing nine-year struggle to stand up and defend Squaw Valley, Lake Tahoe, the North Lake Tahoe-Truckee Region, and the Sierra Nevada.
Written and directed by brothers, Robb (Squallywood) and Scott (Matchstick Productions) Gaffney, and produced by the conservation nonprofit, Sierra Watch. It features an unforgettable cast of enthusiastic Tahoe locals and iconic Squaw Valley legends as they show the world how to band together and stand up for their mountain values.

As one of the lucky few born in the Canary Islands, this hits home pretty hard. We dont have snowy valleys but we do have amazing coastal landscape. The greed of the people in charge has turned our pristine coasts into block after block of massive, disgusting hotels. I really am rooting for you guys from the other side of the pond!

It is sad we are losing Tahoe's pristine nature.
Keep the bay area out of tahoe. Keep shitty drivers off snowy roads in the winter. Nothing worse than a shitty driver causing a wreck on 50/80/89 at 7am on a powder day.
