I hope Kelly is not like an Ellen type of person back stage when the cameras aren’t rolling. I want to believe that Kelly is just as sweet and lovely both on screen and off screen, and I hope that what happened on Ellen is not a systemic problem going on in other daytime shows.

Because they are both Idol winners, they are often mistaken for one another,
If I remember, during his talk with Kelly, he accidentally called her Carrie, and so when they made the cake, he did it as an inside joke. Been a while since I saw that episode, though.
Its a joke between them. But lots of people mix them up. They both were Idol winners, and came out around the same time. I am glad she can laugh about it.
