My apartment came with a second closet so I made it into my office since I work from home.

Wait hold up, I didn't know this was a thing. I work from home AND my place is super small. I will be trying this out ASAP
So clever. "Scratch and dent"/"as is." Has always been my jam. Not much of a shopper, and not a collector, so your idea of using the closet space for an alternative use is brilliant. I don't have an Ikea within an 8 hr drive, but can use the idea with some other find. Thank you.

I use my apartment walk in closet as a wardrobe on the back wall, and I put shelves on both sides to use as my pantry and household items storage.

Girl me and you both. My closet has just coats and sweaters. A small cabinet from Ikea has my blouses. The rest of my stuff are in clear plastic bins. The struggle is real😪
I hear you! I am learning to live with less. Once you make the decision about your "look" for this season, you can store your clothing. shoes and accessories for the other seasons. I love coats, shoes, boots and accessories. I am paring down bc I simply don't have the space. I will be ok 👍

Same!! But i got an additional part with a door. Normally what I got would have easily been over $700, but I got them call for a little over $100!! As is section in Ikea hits everytime I go!

My closet is used for storage and my spare bedroom is my dressing room. When I was in middle school I used half of my closet as an office with the world's tiniest desk and chair. My dad didn't know I had that in there and would just see me coming out of the closet. He thought there was something wrong with me 🤦🏽♀️😂

Now, you need something sleek to cover it (making a square) so the dust doesn't get on your clothes, bags, shoes, belts, etc. It very nice. I'm jealous. 💜🤗

As-Is is my first stop when I walk into IKEA.

I use my office/third bedroom closet and a “supply” closet and has all my office supplies, and printer. I bought a larger “closet” rack from Walmart to put my dresses in because the master room has double racks all the way around (weird right?) anyway, I turned my master into a shoe closet and have a small spot for tops and bodysuits. Everything else is in drawers or is a dress on the dress rack in my office, which is covered. I also have my desk, bookshelf and altar in there so the closet makes great space to hide bulky office things like printers, shredders and extra pens/markers/label machine/ etc.
I looove IKEA. The As Is section is the first area I go to when I enter that store.

Hell my closet is a mess it’s a storage for everything. My apartment is small I tried turning it into an office but changed it back cause that means all that junk was in my bedroom

I’m actually thinking about taking the wire shelf out my walk in closet and putting in a pax system. I’ll be in my apparent for another 3 years and o just need a way to put my shoes up. What they have in it is not cutting it. So I love this idea.

I've done this before. I'm a 20 year van lifer. I traveled for work and never stayed in one pkace for more than a year. I either stayed in my van or small apartment or studio. I used space saving ideas like this.

We moved to a small home without a garage so my husband has a pretty nifty setup in his den closet. Tools and such with shelves. He also slid a small dresser in their and used organizers to separate screwdrivers, etc. works out great for our 1182 sf tiny house. 😊

Ikea is the bomb. I never been to one until a few months ago and wow. I've always seen ads and ppl carrying their bags but never went and I knew I was missing out. I walked in there like I was at an amusement park 😲.

Great idea ! I have a large walk in closet .. I could down size my clothes and still use half for storage ! And luckily there is already a closet system to work from ! I already do use part of it for holiday decorations etc but I would like to have more room and be more organized !
