Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm fairly certain the "extra healing" part of the relief assistance gear only applies to NPC's healed by dropped med-kits. It has nothing to do with self-healing or the effectiveness of healing tools.
For lower health people I have a tip for y'all. There should be some rocks near the water on the left side (it's not that hard to spot. Push ur self against the left side and fire the volatile napalm D away from the rock. Make sure the fire is barely touching you (enough to hurt a tiny bit) you should be able to not get hit buy the golden ants after. In other words... Your persona 4 golden 😁
@@RealCatWeekly the rocks at the bottom (where the sand is) on the left. I suggest getting a good weapon to destroy some of the pods until your surrounded by them.
I'm happy to know that I've found something I can do because I have the Blazer (just got it :D), probe 5 because it's more effective, and volcanic napalm. I just don't have the health to withstand the napalm
Since I started the game I played that mission do try farming and now I have some tips. For low health players If you have less than 1k HP I suggest you to just pick the fastest shooting weapon or a shotgun and just keep walking and killing the enemies, but focus on the gold ants or just kill the pillars, they can deal up to around 700hp if all the acid hits you so its hard to survive with many of them walking over you, of course its not afk but you can get around 200 to 300 armor in less than 15 minutes which is faster than any other mission. For people with over 2k HP this method should works fine if you destroy some (or all) the gold ant pilars, the damage of normal ants and spiders, its less loot but easier to farm while playing. And, you can always stand near the wall to minimize the chances of getting hit by many enemies at the same time and farm afk with over than 2000 health.
Absolutely excellent video. Love this. Going to try this myself. Wow this looks to be the absolutely best mission to armor farm on. So basically you can hit the 750 box cap (correct me if I'm wrong on the cap) in 20 minutes tops. Love the napalm strategy.
@@KevinEDF I read the cap was 750 boxes which has been pretty much my experience as well. I farmed 4 hours on mission 40 once and only had around 750 boxes. Did this on two or 3 occasions with common results so I figured it was correct. No definite proof though.
@@EDFCentral Same here. I've done a ton of AFK farming and concluded that I can only get roughly around 700-some armor accumulated for all classes per run. I'm just glad that others are saying the same thing and it isn't just me.
@@CylenX6 Its good to have a consensus on this to help others avoid over farming. If that cap can be reached in 20 minutes then no point farming for an hour.
I was a dumbass and tried doing this without maxing Volcanic Napalm first. Since the reload times is doubled, you can already assume how my first attempt looked...
I'm gonna try this out! I might also try the mission 39 farming where you can just leave the console running for a few hours... but I kinda prefer the idea of active farming
@@KevinEDF I tried this mission a couple of times today, and it looks like you could leave this mission sitting as well, if you used rubber bands or putty to stick the left stick in a spinning position and the trigger on firing
As of Aug 10, noticing that this may have been nerfed. It used to be you could use an elastic band on this level to farm for a good while before dying. Now you get about 5-7 minutes before you stop getting heals. If you move around in a circle, the heals are there, but they are now just out of range if you're just standing there... :(
Does the ally amount healed effect on some of the ranger support gear actually adjust it for you? I thought it only affected how much you'd heal NPCs in your squad, since I know it does that much... I didn't figure it would change the healing effect for you yourself though.
Was doing this, and am only able to get +300, never 400 or over that. Then I noticed, my armor was 1024 (around that) and it said "+300 armor added", but there was only a change to 1100~ What gives?
I’ve noticed the same thing on every mission when it comes to armor. It never adds up correctly. Also you can pick up more boxes if you play on 2 player split screen.
Okay but how do you get those weapons outside of like inferno? 😂 the reason most of us need the armor is to be able to play on higher difficulties. Any way to do this with gear from HARD like level 50ish and lower?
If you play offline the limits will be off so take your strongest rapier or shotgun or jackhammer and play it on easy and keep up as many pillars of the silvers you can handle, it will still be the best armor farm available
What would you say is the lowest armor recommendation to start this farm? My ranger has almost 1000 armor but I still end up dying from the sheer amount of enemies plus standing in the fire. I see your health go down about 3000ish as the lowest, so should that be my starting point? 3000?
I’ve only got 1200 armour, tried this and died instantly. I would recommend keeping on the move so they miss all their range attacks and using the Volatile Napalm D so it kills them quicker to grab more health packs. Even then the Gold Ants shred half of my HP with 1-2 salvos
Demarco Garcia Volaitile Napalm is a level 3 drop and Volatile Napalm D is a level 39 weapon, so play any mission which gives weapon drops within those level ranges. There’s also the Volatile Napalm ZD which is level 79
Volcanic naplam is level 54 so play on hardest and check the weapon limits for the missions. Play missions that have a weapon limit of around 61 62 or 63ish on hardest. Hardest drops weapons 5-15 levels lower than the weapon limit
I got it on mission 62. The one with only rolling enemies. You can hide in the parking garage and kill them without them being able to get inside. So you can do it on Inferno difficulty safely
I don’t know if you ever intended this as an AFK method, but it does not work as one unless you have as much health as you do. Even at about 5000 health, this method, on easy, kills you in less than 5 minutes if you remain stationary.
The key is to kill them all in one spot so I would recommend close range weapons such as 2 jackhammers or perhaps 2 lower level flame cannons with the recoil item
I'm having the hardest time getting the napalm. I have the next level below it and can't seem to get that one. Any suggestions look good missions to farm for it?
Ok, finally got the Napalm (did DLC 2, Ep. 11 on Hard), but I'm too low on armor to do this. Need to get at least 1,000 more so I don't kill myself with the Napalm.
@@tlgd99 i started at 3k and could almost never hold out the 10 minutes but at 4k+ i never die no matter how long i stay so as long as you have over 4k you should be fine, anything below 3k and you probably cant deal with the damage tho so id recommend at least that much
It is level 106 and drops on any dlc 2 mission on inferno however I made 1 mistake in this video, the extra healing from the dlc ring doesn't heal you for more only your npcs so the campaign 1000% ring is better after all

@@jerrythen00b I would suggest not doing the afk method for now, the armor cap for any level is around 1200 so you can only farm for 30 minutes before you must end the mission. You will gain armor fast here so maybe just fight and collect for now with the ring and fire ball until your a bit higher health.

@@jerrythen00b the napalam isn't bad even if your not AFK farming but if you don't use the napalam to fight with, try using a very strong close range weapon so you can collect easier, usually a shotgun is great. The Blazer only drops on inferno difficulty so if you don't have this take a very strong machine gun to kill the pillars fast and make sure to play it offline on easy. If it's too difficult for your ranger right now with your health maybe take a faster class for now like wingdiver or fencer. You receive health for the 3 other classes your not playing as but only 1/3rd the amount.
Nothing else really comes close to the speed of this mission, there is this mission th-cam.com/video/HNbPRjBiAjg/w-d-xo.html but it is considerably slower. The afk methods typically require multiple hours to reach the armor drop max whereas this DLC 2 mission can do the same in 20 or minutes. You can AFK the dlc 2 mission if you have enough health for ranger, probably 6 or 7kish if I had to guess, by aiming at your feet and keeping the trigger held. I do have the other methods in my farming playlist if your interested though

It is level 54 weapon so play online mode on hardest and look at the weapon level limit of the missions. Hardest missions drop weapon level 5 to 15 levels LOWER than the weapon level limit of the mission. So look for a few missions that have the weapon level limit of around 65. These missions will drop level 50-60 weapons so play as ranger on one of these and it should drop pretty fast. Let me know if you have any questions.
Shitty enough they added mechanics that are specifically to fuck the player. What purpose does it serve for the players to get stunlocked? That does not add incentive to dodge, infact it does the opposite. It is legitimately better to run slightly to the left than it is to combat roll when ranger, wing divers mobility is non existent thanx to the stunlock n now theyre more effecient by just acting like a trooper trading mobility for damage output is a necessity on hard, I could on but who the fuck cares.
Farming armor is all about silver spiders since they drop 2-3 items each so I would recommend rushing through the first phases and get to the end phase with the 5 silver spider pillars otherwise it will be a lot less armor for your time
sorry for replying so late, you want to farm level 62 on "harder" difficulty as ranger. pick up all the green boxes you can. inferno should also work, but I got it on harder. there are parking garages around the map to hide in, defeat the first two packs of enemies and then run back to the one behind where you started the mission. you will probably have to beat it dozens of times, unless you're luckier than me. volcanic napalm is a level 52 weapon so you'll know you're farming the right difficulty if you're unlocking things near that level.
You had 9002 armor doing this vid...for people with MUCH lower armor this is VERY hard to attempt to do...The Napalm kills you in the process with this method

Also, you don't have to actually beat the level. I find it easier to just die and restart cause all your stuff will carry over if you're playing easy.

Interesting, it isn't a huge deal considering how fast you get armor and the cap is reached in 30 minutes
@@KevinEDF I've discovered dropping down to the lower level napalm (the one where you get 4) seems to do the trick if you want to leave it unattended.

2 armor = 1 hp, but this gets split between the five classes. the one you're playing as gets the biggest portion.

Yeah it can be luck based, but at the speed you get the armor, 10 minutes or 15 isn't bad

You gain armor for every class but you gain about 75% more for the class your playing

i purchased the dlc ring for the ranger. but i cant find it in my items. help ?
I believe all the dlc items are at the top of the list, not with the other rings

This is just the optimal way but you don't need to stand inside the fire, you will still get Soo much armor compared to other missions
you need alot of armor to survive inferno level. my friends recommend at least 7-8k armor and this is the easiest way so yeah
Wait isn't there an item limit? I thought it was 512 drops per player.
There is a limit to how much you can collect but I believe it is 800 or 1000 total. I don't go that long but I have seen 1000 online I believe
appears to be 1024 total boxes per player (armor+weapons) + 128 boxes can appear at once on the map itself.

Yes, to stand inside the napalm would be impossible but if you have lower health I would still recommend this method but stand near the napalm instead
