  • At the time only run once before (in 1992), the legendary Dragon’s Back Race® was revived in 2012 by Shane Ohly of Ourea Events.
    Now in 2018, we're delighted to release the full length 2012 film for online viewing having previous been available exclusively on DVD and select digital download services. The film takes you in to the heart of this inspiring adventure as the 2012 race weaves its brutal path down the mountainous spine of Wales; 200 miles long - 17,000 metres of ascent - 5 days

    Nicky Spinks, what an amazing woman and her comments regarding yes it's tough but not as tough as someone telling you that you have cancer, what a powerful statement !!! I want to do this in 2023 !!!

    Brilliant "That's good news as I reckon this way is quicker" sums up what I love most about fell running, endless discussions on what is the best route, in this case I think the guy was wrong, I think coming down the east ridge of Pen yr Ole Wen is quicker! 🤣
