This will be a labor of love - my mom passed in March and we will be using this to take her ashes out to the west coast, where she used to live, for her final send off : ) best to you and Maria as always and thank you for your support Des !
Yes this is the vanlander - I just saw it for sale in March and drove to NC to pick it up. Trying to get it ready for a long trip out west. I’ll see every gas station between Pittsburgh and Washington ! But I’m psyched - making good progress on the buildout and trying to address some things before we hit it. Thanks for taking a look

This is fantastic. Although your approach may be a little too utilitarian. I think you could build a 4x10 cabinet right into the back door. Pull up, pop it open and rock out. Maybe add some shag carpet for sound dampening. Can't wait to watch you pimp your ride!

Hey man, I just wanted to say I think this is a such a cool van! And the door configuration is sweet. I lost my leg a year ago. I’ve had 17 surgeries because all the nerve damage Plastic surgery and trimming when needed. So I’m not going to see a prosthetic for a while. Seriously if you do think about selling this thing, I don’t have a pile of cash, but when I saw this, I saw a function! Also looks super cool. But having the doors on the both sides, my wheelchair would hop right in there so if you feel like selling it, let me know. I probably can’t afford it right now but I’ve got a I can try to sell. Super cool! I love the idea and it being four-wheel-drive is killer I’m from Northern Minnesota and I’ve had pretty good luck with 2 Wheel Dr. vans to be honest my last one rusted out but I have a shop now so I can wash my truck, so it really helps with the salt. Plus I’ve been doing underbody coatings . I use upol or a raptor mix… I don’t comment very much. I just thought I would. This is really a cool van. Have a great day

This one was a DIY build about two owners ago. The giveaway is that the doors are reversed from the passenger side. I didn't know if it was factory or not when I bought it- ( they did a good job ) Love this thing ! heading up to Washington to pick it up in a few weeks and bring it to the Oregon Coast. I'm trying to convert my van to 4x4 on my own. Is there anyway that you can go over in detail how the front was converted including the front spring perches and how the front spring shackle was fabbed up it would be greatly appreciated 👍
I will - I have the van out in Washington right now. But I have to get some things tightened up before we hit the road again. Motor mount needs some attention and a rear hanger is cracked so when we start w that I’ll get some video of the underside and what’s going on - I bought this converted it was a DIY job a few owners back. I had to repair the rear spindles they fused and the axle Walked out ! - all the bearings all the seals -brakes , booster new shocks etc … it’s been a project. But I’ll get some clips once I get back out there and get to work on it. Thanks
I saw a youtube video of that van in the woods looks like it work great on and off road. Now it time for the bad bad question what her MPG and how much did you robber at the gas pump??? LOL LOL
I bought this from that guy !- he has a channel called The Vanlander - after seeing what he did w it I knew it was more than enough for our traveling needs. When people ask what sort of gas mileage it gets I just respond. " it doesn't". : honestly, probably 10 mpg and we will be using this for our trips out west so we're prepared for some serious pain at the pump. still worth it! @@dougcaye7786 I have a 87 K30 (V30) 4WD 350 work 4 speed she gets 11MPG yes the gas pump is armed it sick me all the time and takes all my cash it says no coffee for you then laugh at me.

Dual side barn doors? That's a very fucking rare option. You don't see that kind of SPECIMENS until MY2003.
