Her playing has improved a lot, and her camera work and her set and costume design are great (but I gotta say I prefer the simpler sets of her earlier videos). Given that she only started the channel 9 months ago from nothing and already has 114 thousand subscribers, she's done very well. That kind of growth is exceptional. I doubt she makes much money from it yet though; from what I've seen with lots of other smaller channels, regular donors take longer to gain (at the moment she has less than 50 donors on Patreon, only hobby-level income, though still impressive).
Thank you to both of you for your comments! I’m glad you’ve seen some improvement, as I had been playing the harp for less than six months when I started this channel. At first, the goal really was to keep track of my progress (albeit with fancy outfits!). I’m finding more and more fun in creating the aesthetic of each video. It’s a good way to keep sane while being in lockdown.
Incredible how a song that is so often associated with uhm.. vintage adult films.. can sound so enchanting when played on the harp! But seriously it sounds marvelous ! And the decors is also fantastic, with the diferent camera angles (especially love the one that films from behind your hands) and the last shot, splendid! These videos really are more than just you covering a song on the harp, they are more and more like a complete piece where the staging and the music ought to be considered together and not separately. Well played!
There are few things to be highlighted: 1)The stuffed dude there, your hair, the wine glass and background have been so perfectly chosen 2)The back to back zooming of the animal makes it feel(atleast for me) that he's your valentine and you're playing the sweet song to him{or the other way around} 3) The harp have been played sweet (as always) But it does confuse me if Naomi is doing the role of a man due to her hair, ah, nvm... The director is intelligent, truly, one in a million! Happy Valentines Day all, may all of your relationship get more stronger✨
Pitch........PERFECT. I'm no critic I'm just enjoying the sounds....and I'm ASTONISHED at how SPOT ON you get EVERYTHING that you play. You...have......a GIFT
When you got the new harp, I loved the fuller sound of it and thought it vastly superior to your original harp. But in this video I can see that its cutting slightly metallic timbre has areas where it outshines its newer bigger sibling. Your Teddy date and camera deer were flawless in their roles.
Naomi.. Happy Valentine's Day.. Hope you, everyone & I too, find true love.. Those who have found their special one, keep living together lovingly. Keep doing the good work Naomi👍🏻 Regards, 🇮🇳
Apart from the awesome harp skills, this theme and camera work is really good. It looks like it would've been a lot of fun to record. I like how it switches the camera not too fast neither too slow, and all the angles have a good view. Great cover as well. As you said, Harp is the new Sax. Say hi to the teddy for me :)
In my mind behind the black drapes there is a window and outside the window, nose pressed up against the glass, is a deer. Love this one. Warmed my heart and made me smile.
Beautiful and funny, too with the she bear! Brilliant touch! Brilliant playing, setting and shooting. Another little masterpiece. Congrats again Naomi!
Hi Naomi SV,wunderschön dekoriert zum Valentinstag der frisch verliebten und brillanter Sound deiner Harfe. Dein Outfit im 1920 Jahre Genre. Thank it for the musique.
This is literally beautiful. As a current player of Sky: CotL, my first instrument was a harp, and this was one of the first songs I learnt to play :'). Love ittt ✨️✨️
Half of the joy of seeing a notification from this channel is wondering how the video will be framed. This time, it was almost heart-wrenching. Nicely played as usual (Aeolian mode is always so sad) & the deer's cinematography was spot on. I must admit though, I genuinely hope you haven't been two-timing that poor stuffed toy. Those critters have long memories...
I really love this one. I didn't listen to it for a few years, thank you for bringing the memorys back to me :) And as always, the background is absolutely stunning. Great job!
Naomi that was wonderful. Dressed as a male entertaining a doe. I loved the story, and got to see the DEAR again. Laughted my ass off.......Thanks, you made my morning.👍👏👏👏👏👏🤣🤣🤣🤣❤❤❤
This was really weird… I watched a documentary on George Michael this morning on Reels…then this pops up on my TH-cam suggestions… Am I mad?? Ummm heck no… this was amazing.. and I want more….I may have just found my new stuff to listen to to make me relax..
Naomi, you're amazing harpist and actress as well! 💃🕺I love the sceneries you create, they are inventory! The video is of great quality and looks very professional. What do you use to record it in such quality? And especially the audio - it's flawless and the music sounds like directly from the inside of the harp. Do you record the audio separately? Would love to learn a bit more about this, I just record myself with my phone (just audio) and the result is quite muffled and not pleasant to the ears 😁 when it's live it's much better and richer and your recording is of that amazing quality, it sounds like live!
Thank you so much! I usually record live sound, but this one was the exception in being pre-recorded. In either case, the recording process is the same. I use a Tascam Dr-10 lav mic clipped inside the soundboard of the harp (similar to the placement of a pickup). The sound is very crisp and resonant, and it cuts out a lot of ambiant noise, which allows me to shoot outdoors without problem! I don’t know what instrument you want to record, but I sometimes place my phone on my lap next to the soundboard if I want a rough recording of a practice session.
@@NaomiSV thank you for the answer! :) That makes sense, then it's really recorded from the inside of the harp. And I play harp too. I often want to record myself during the practice just to hear it more objectively, from the listener's perception. And would love to try some better equipment, thanks so much for the info. 😊
@@velvetheartcoffee7340 Recording yourself when practicing is so handy! I always notice things I'm not aware of when I play. If you want something affordable just in the meantime, there are inexpensive lav mics that plug into your phone that you could clip or tape inside the soundboard of the harp.
@@NaomiSV Exactly this, after it's recorded I can check better if it turned out the way I wanted to and what to work on 😊 now I'm practicing some film music from LOTR, Harry Potter and Narnia, those things sound really good on a harp! Especially from the last Narnia film, there's a lot tunes that fit harp perfectly. will have a look in the mics, thank you! 😊 And looking forward to your inspiring videos
Naomi, you have done it again! I was waiting for such classic design by you. Cute little teddy seemed to be enjoying the ambience and music like me. May I request you to consider for playing on Harp the Roxette Song , "It must have been love" , if there are no copyright issues involved.
Wow! Seriously, Naomi. Of all instrumentalist TH-camrs, I’ve never seen anyone with anywhere near the level of production. The amount of work you put into your videos is incredible. You’re really and truly amazing! 👏🏼💙
For those wondering where the deer went. He’s behind the camera.
LOL... well done:)
And he stays there..... otherwise the gun comes out from under the table.....
Take my like and go, good sir.
Haha
🤣
Damn girl, if this isn't art I wouldn't know what art is.
Art needs more plushy animals!
@@NaomiSV Think a pusheen plush would do nicely.
You are my favorite TH-cam Channel Thank you
Thank you so much!
You always have the best set design hahaha and the zoom in on the stuffed animal is hilarious
Thank you! I had a lot of fun making this!
