Respectfully, I would like to direct the people saying the Gabriel 2 fight was too easy to what Hugo Martin was saying after the reaction to Ancient Gods 2. Hakita isn’t going to balance normal or even hard difficulty for people who have been cyber grinding for 50+ hours, nor should he, that’s what the future higher difficulties are for.
As someone who is not a cyber grind addict, I can officially say that Gabriel 2 indeed feels a lot harder than Gabriel 1. It feels like overall he is more predictable, but his attacks are so much faster and harder to avoid that his predictability is not an issue. His fight feels like a toned down Minos Prime and honestly Im all for it!

what if i suck at cybergrind and the first gabriel fight, but still beat the second one first try? then p ranked it on my 3rd attempt. I think the problem is that while the attacks themselves are faster, the arena is much larger, so running away is much more doable on this one compared to the first
20:03 I expected a lot from the new tracks. What I did NOT expect was a sax drop. After I finished getting the middle blue skull it started and I literally stopped playing to listen to it. What an amazing OST this game is forming.
Deep Blue is hands-down the best track from Imperfect Hatred. It also happens to be the only one that isn't a metal/amen break or baroque/amen break fusion. Hakita, I'm BEGGING you to keep experimenting with amen breaks and other fusions, PLEASE.
A bit like kayava from rainworld with the sudden saxophone that's never heard again, plus it's super rare to hear because you usually don't go to where you can hear it.

Dune eternal and sands of tide sound like enraged arcade machienes playing rock music in a desert. Meanwhile Dancer in the Darkness sounds like an holy funeral. Duel reprise is subverion of expectations. Instead of the same music with new elements we have completly different notes with main motive of the previous song, enough to be jarring wich i think was intended.

I wonder what the Violence layer will look like because in Dante's Inferno it is said the on one layer of Violence has a river of boiling blood and makes me think, can the machines use the river to fuel up or because it's boling they can't use it and it acts like an electric light trap, or the river has been drained long before V1 descends into hell.

I was so sad when I got to the Gabriel fight and it was just meh. I figured he'd be a lot more desperate and frantic than what we got. The rest of the act was great though (except for the rocket launcher)!
I also thought Gabriel's fight was underwhelming, but in hindsight it kinda fits. He gave it his all, and still failed miserably against the superior fighter who was accumulating experience while he was sulking in front of an organ. All the more of a reason to snap out of his stupidity and reconsider his past actions.
I wonder if the Act 2 fight would be better if it was experienced in sequence with the rest of the game and not after we learned how to bully Gabe using only the Whiplash

Its just no contest I think Gabe 2 is like Right in there with Corpse Minos, Malicious Face Tutorial, Swords Machine 1, and Cerberus The Boss. no.. thats doing Cerb a disservice. Gabe 2 is beaten in less attempts than trying to leg-less run against Cerb. Using The stupidest and Stalest of combos Shotty switch spam, mashing melee until you "accidentally" land quite a few parries, Nail/sawing the shit out of em, fuck it, throw a drill rail while ur at it, push him up into the ceiling with yet another marksman Slab piercer combo. Finish with a core eject. You know the drill. You could probably do it with JUST the shotgun and nailgun if you dont mind taking a few extra seconds. But believe me. on violence, you have switched enough times to barely see grayed out health.

Shotgun modswitching alone keeps style moderately fresh, Parrying your own shotgun adds style which keeps it on an upward curve, parrying gabe 2's obvious telegraphs is koala easy, parrying him adds to an upward style curve, You are able to railcoin him, which adds another style enhancer, you can slab piercer once you knock him in the air, switch to nailgun, spike him, magdump and switch to heat nail, burst the altfire at him, and then finish with a Knuckle Buster punch into piercer marksman. all without moving. the easiest P rank you will ever see. i know im saying just a bunch of stuff that sounds super hard to do consecutively. but tbh you don't realize how easy it is until you are doing it while reading this comment. Not moving.... makes it that much easier to carry out all of these combos. And gabriel practically hugs you. hes practically giving you a blowie joey. begging to be creamed. and hes gone in 12 seconds. I shit you not. When I say gabriel hugs you. He just goes right up to you and stays within punching range the entire fucking time. You still think that getting a P rank doing this is impossible dont you? or that its somehow a hard ask? or that I didnt do it? That I didnt just witness the easiest boss I have ever fought.
