      What kind of dog is Allie? I rescued a scared emaciated female doberman to be a little sister to my first dobie girl in 2007. She was 1.5 years old (vet estimate) and had been abused and probably used as a breeder as she had recently had pups the vet said. She gained the needed 25 lbs and blossomed into a friendly, loving dog who especially loved children. She lived to be 15. I recently lost 2 rescued dogs I had for 14 years due to old age and health problems. They were at least 16. Still grieving.

I just recently lost my Shorkie.. :( We are volunteers at a state park in Alabama and to clean the sites I just take my golf cart around. Bo (my Shorkie) fell out the the tire ran over his little head. Cried so bad. He followed me around everywhere! I want another one!!

    I'm a nite owl. DH wasn't. So I'd get up some mornings and he'd be chopping onions and peppers to put in his eggs and/or potatoes on that little narrow strip between the flat built-in stove-top and the front edge of the counter.
    I try not to complain, so after gently requesting more than once that he use a cutting board instead, I just presented him with a strip just the right size that I'd cut off the end of a DT cutting board.
    After that he made several custom size cutting mats to use all over the kitchen and the deck for when he was grilling.
    He thought I was a genius. I reminded him that I was at least smart enough to say yes!

      @@lorihamlin3604 You are so correct. I have 3 granddaughters who are 17, 12, and 10. The older used to love to read books until she became a teen and got an iPhone. She was on TH-cam far too much, and it was affecting her emotional state and schoolwork. Fortunately, she listened to me and started to focus on her art and later volunteer work at the animal shelter. In 7th grade she won an art contest and a scholarship to the community college for a summer class. She is extremely talented (I can't draw a straight line with a ruler - LOL). My youngest granddaughter has been read to every night by both parents since she was a baby and kept away from screen time and tv (tv Friday night only for a movie and a very little time for a few cartoons when she was younger - 2-3 hours a week at most). Since Covid, she is homeschooled, so she uses the computer for that only. She is a straight A student and rarely needs any help from her mom who just lays out her assignments for the day. Everyone who meets her thinks she is much older (she is tall) as she is very mature and has an advanced vocabulary. Going to get books from the library is one of her favorite activities. She is an avid reader and shocks me with all the information she knows (and I am an avid learner with grad degrees in English and math and taught college for the last 23 years). I know it sounds like I am a bragging grandmother, but my attorney brother and CPA brother were very surprised when they talked to her. My son bought 20 acres and moved them from Tampa to north central FL. She started an equine boarding business and even knows about LLCs. I have know 1000s of children and adults through 43 years of teaching and going to college, and I have never met such a loving Christian, down-to-earth person in my life other than my grandfather. I am so very blessed to have her in my life! Sorry for the long reply! Keep your grandchildren busy learning without too much screen time.

      @@gingereaves4097 Your grandchildren sound delightful and hoping they are happy with some open spaces. I live on a farm just north of Tallahassee. I love the area. Bugs are annoying but you learn to deal with it. My only granddaughter lives in CO but she loves coming to the family farm and spending time with her cousins. They’re aged 5-12 so still enjoy outdoor activities like building forts and digging worms to fish in pond with their homemade poles. They like to pretend they are living in the late 1800s when their great great grandfather first bought the farm. They are fortunate kids that they have such a family history and are surrounded by family that dote on them while still learning life skills that should serve them well as adults. Wow..we are proud grandmothers indeed!

    We have Buddy and Spot. Buddy is a Dalmatian mix and Spot is a Dachshund Beagle mix.The idea for the dog food was mind blowing. My dogs have their food and water on bath mats on carpets in their bedrooms aka Spot in my Daughter and Son in Laws room and Buddy in my brother's room. They tend to fight over food so we put their food in non common areas. This idea is so much easier than using bath mats that take so much time to throw in laundry and dry. Plus this idea I can decorate for not only bedrooms but give both dogs their individual named mats. All so the place mat Idea going to be great for birthdays and holidays, not to mention picnics or cookouts and save space too. I am also going to experiment and see if I can put Photos on them to really personalize them. The fridge idea to is going to save a ton of clean up.

    Have you seen the colored chopping mats at DT lately? I got different colors as I also like to use different ones for different things. There's red, which I immediately thought of for meats, and several other colors.

    Hi Shannon I'm a new viewer and my pooch Dodger would love a shout out from your pooch he's a chihuahua mix he's definitely got the little dog who thinks he's a big dog syndrome. 2 of my daughter's have Great Dane brothers Dodger will growl or bark really loud at them and they run away from him they both weigh over 100 lbs he weighs 9. It's hilarious. Looking forward to watching more of your wonderful crafts I will be going back and watching your previous videos as I have time to get more ideas what to make since I'm disabled on a very limited income only place I can afford to do a few crafts to keep me from going stircrazy since I'm stuck at home most days only time I get out is doctor appointments I'll stop if there's a Dollar tree close to where i am to look for new ideas to make

    I sure wouldn’t put my plastic mat I the dishwasher after it’s been on the floor.

    • @gingereaves4097
      @gingereaves4097 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why? According to my doctor, it would be sanitary as I asked him if it was safe to put my dog's ceramic bowl in there with my other dishes. At Bosch, we care about all of the members of your family-from mom and dad to kids and pets-and we know that you don’t always have time to separate different types of dishes before your run your next load of dishes. That’s why it is important to look for sanitization features on your dishwasher.
      Organizations such as the National Sanitization Foundation (NSF), a non-profit that creates standards for public health for food, water and consumer goods, can be helpful in identifying dishwashers, like those from Bosch, that deliver the most hygienic results. In fact, each Bosch dishwasher made in the US has one or more cycles that are NSF certified and have been German engineered to kill 99.9% of bacteria, so that we can offer our customers the ultimate peace of mind.
      It may make you a little squeamish to put your dog's food and water dishes in with your own bowls and plates. However, it may be okay to do so if you have a 'sanitize' setting on your dishwasher. This setting would effectively kill and remove all bacteria, thus preventing cross-contamination.

      That was a rude comment. As the old adage states: "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." Colossians 4:6 says,
      “Let your speech always be gracious [or in some versions, ‘with grace’ or ‘full of grace’], seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person. Do what you want with your life, but the world could use more kindness and less criticism.
