Encounter with God
1Samuel 3:1-10
It is time to encounter God's grace and power. There is a difference between a meeting and an encounter; a meeting is brief and casual.
The encounter changes your life and it is impactful. Encounter with God takes you deeper into knowing Him (Daniel 11:32).
(Job 42:5) To encounter God is to have your life transformed, knowing God not about Him
Samuel had an encounter with God at a young age; the encounter has no age limit, as seen in Samuel's life. Commit to God that you will give yourself to the needy in the house and have an encounter with Him that will lead to a transformed life.
It is important to know the God of the house. This is a level of encounter, not just a meeting. Moses, for example, had an encounter with the burning bush.
The burning bush experience will never leave you the same at this conference, like Moses it's time to encounter God. Moses removed his shoes for he was standing on holy ground, he received a new assignment to bring revival from Egypt.
(Genesis 32:34-38) Jacob also encountered God and transformed from a double life to living the life of God. His name was changed.
The woman at the well met Jesus and had an encounter, she was changed into a new life and became an evangelist.
Paul who was Saul had an encounter with God and transformed from a murderer to an Apostle of the gospel. There is the power that will transform your life, the power of encounter
1. Every encounter with God will separate you from an unprofitable element
2. This encounter will cause you to see God for who He is
3. This encounter will help you See yourself as God sees you, understand yourself better
4. This encounter will Connect you to His purpose and give you clarity
