(...)* : repeat instructions * times [...] : work in the same stitch as indicated K : skip (sk) R3: work [1hdc, 1dc in same stitch], dc inc, (dc, dc inc) *4 times, [1dc, 1hdc in same stitch], 1sl.st, [1hdc, 1dc in same stitch], dc inc, (1dc, dc inc) *4 times, [1dc, 1hdc in same stitch], 1sl.st R4: 1sk,1sc, sc inc *5 times,11sc,1sl.st, 11sc, sc inc *5 times, 1sc, 1sk, 1sl.st I hope above explanations could be help you.
