I honestly love all the gym leaders. 1. I would 100% sit with Maria on the dock and share a thermos of calming herbal tea after our battle. 2. I think my favorite part of the video was the inspirations! I loved the gym leaders and their teams butttt the way you was inspired by your friends and members of your family was the cherry on top for me. It made the characters so much more believable, excellent video!!

All these leaders are great, its hard to pick a favorite! If I had to choose, it would be between Birkir and Maria. Birkir's personality is great, and I can relate to Maria being diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome, as well as being uncomfortable around people
Finally, we get to gaze upon this group of gym leaders. First, a question for you, Mykel. I noticed that Huldelfolk is now Fairy/Fighting type. Was this intentional, or an oversight? Secondly, all these Gym Leaders are amazing. I’m at a loss for words for what to say about them. I’ll put my thoughts into words later.
Choosing a favourite is quite hard as it comes down to Julia who is inspired by your grandmother who sounds like such a nice person to meet and Maria who I feel with due to also being on THE SPECTRUM. I choose both as I just love how Julia is all about gems and you fight her on BLACK SAND with waves possibly crashing down. Oh and she is an archer?! Now I would pay every dollar I’d get to make Brain and Brawn official!!! I love Maria’s character and design as it reminds me of the times my old man would take me and my sister fishing when we were younger (I am not even close to being thirty yet). Plus I love Maria’s style of waiting for her opponent to make a move and then counter which is AWESOME!!! Now to finish catching up so I can get started on watching your Orre region series next!

Fangtasia is just my favorite leader of them all, yet it’s always incredible to see you talk about your concepts and seeing everything so well done put together, amazing work! Also loved the tease to the Queen’s Beauty DLC, so excited for it!
As someone who’s also on the spectrum, I want the best for Maria and definitely want her to achieve her goals in life as she kind of reminds me of myself expect instead of being out at sea, I play video games but we both have Pokémon there to help us out in dark times and I’d also give her a hug if I could.
Honestly this has got to me one of my all-time favorite fan pokemon projects. I literally adore every aspect from the character designs, their stories, the new pokemon, all of the things that served as inspiration, etc. I can't express how badly I wish this was a full game because I'd die happy if I could experience it fully!
Sorry I have to say (well write) to much about this video but please read until the end 🥺 Honestly I love them all... You managed to give each and every one of your gymleaders a believable backstory a unique personality and a reasonable motivation why they are in charge of their respective gyms... That is something not a single real Pokémon game achieved... I am stunned... At first look I thought Sigrun or Ludvik would be be one if my favourits just by their appereance of tough warriors... But normaly I love the fire or grass specialist the most so I love them as well simply based on their types... Maria and Fangtasias storyies are phenomenal and I personally would love to spent most of my time with them just to get to understand them better... Oh and dont let us forget the twins and the grandma... The opposites of the spectrum and jet they fit in perfectly in the whole concept of the region... Only downer for me personally is that the gym leaders would always be 3 level above my own... I normaly train till I am at least two level above the foe I will face next... And finally finally I got an idea of the whole fordge form battle mechanic... Seems amazing... Love it... Want that to be real...
I love the the non-binary representation in Ragnar/Fangtasia, and the fact that they use Dragon-types is even more awesome. A drag queen as a gym leader? Iconic. I also really love the autism representation in Maria. She feels incredibly relatable, and is definitely my favourite character (along with Ragnar/Fangtasia).

I loved this videos and the gym leaders! They’re all so filled with character depth and I’d enjoy battling any of them, love how all of the badges reflect the Norse symbols! As for my favorite gym leader, it has to be a tie between Kol and Magnus/Minnie, but they were all phenomenal !! Thank you for sharing them!
If you are bringing in Elsa into this there has to be a battle against her. I would also suggest a multi triple battle of you Minnie and Magnus against their parents (and someone else likley your mom, to balance the teams.) to help them knock some sense into them. Complete with epic thre on thre forge form fight.
I could write paragraphs about how much I love this region and its characters, its all just so wonderful. Also, I agree with the point with Ludvig, that gym leaders don’t need teams to consist entirely of new pokemon. Using new pokemon is meant to introduce them to the player and to give you memories of them, but very rarely does anyone remember the non-ace pokemon on gym leaders teams. Side note: I’m curious, do the cities in Fyrrun have official names? You just kind of call them “the town where X happens”

A few ideas for the gym music: Like Unova in b2w2, each gym will have a remixed theme that matches the typing of the gym. Also, remember Reilmdall? Well, here's an idea for a sort of badge check gate: At the end of the route, that being a cliff which leads up to the region's Victory Road, you see a statue of Reilmdall, with an inscription on a plaque saying "Those who wish to challenge the Alfoodar, present the proof of your victories and I shall grant thee passage." You also see eight slots on the base of the statue, each one in the shape of a different badge. If you insert all eight badges, the statue's eyes will light up and blow it's horn, revealing the rainbow bridge, a bridge made of hard light glowing in seven colors, solid enough for you the player to walk on. There will also be a teleporter tile on the other side to warp you back if there were any last minute things to take care of, but don't worry, the bridge will remain active even after you leave. Not bad, huh? Also, Unversed, but that's what that etc. was for.

when I first saw fangtasia, I immediately thought of symone (one of my favorite drag queens). I'm glad I was right ✨ and DRAG queen as a DRAGon type gym leader?!?!?!? GENIUS ✨✨✨
I love this series so much and am always so impressed by your sense of game design, art design, and storytelling! I think the mini games for each gym challenge are really cool, but I do find it a little strange that some of them basically punish you with trainer battles if you fail them. I feel like the trainer battles leading up to the gym leader are one of things that make Pokémon gyms really fun, and they also give the player valuable EXP so they aren’t underleveled for the final gym leader battle. So I feel like if winning the mini games allows you to skip trainer battles in some gyms, that could be really detrimental to the experience. Basically, I would suggest structuring each gym with mini games, trainer battles, and the gym leader, where you have to beat the mini games to fight the trainers, and you have to beat all or most of the trainers to fight the gym leader. But other than that, keep up the great work!

I can imagine Team Brawn Thor actually mentioning your defeat of Minnie and Magnus in his pre-battle dialogue. Either shaming them for losing to a "mere Team Brain snake" if fought at the warehouse, or expressing excitement at the prospect of sparring with the "battle brother/sister" who bested his children if fought for Sthormur.

So Pokémon types only matter in the turn based style of the battles. In the free style sections only the forge forms weapon type determines the amount of damage done

Don’t forget free style sections only happen if you or your opponent are welding a forge form and most enemies who use one won’t use it till their final Pokémon. So in most cases you’ll have almost an entire regular turn based battle before forge forms come out and the free style sections are thrown into the mix.
The video and the story are very good, the Gym Leaders are very easily my favorite gym leaders of all time, I wish pokemon Brain and pokemon Brawn were real games, really looking forward to the elite 4 story and the 2 DLC story's as well. 😊 ❤.
My top 3 favourite types are Rock, Bug And Fairy! I Just think that they can be glamorous pokemon. And I am all about looks! And to be honest, my favourite Pokémon in this fakemon region is definitely Diamoth and Huldelfolk
I think Iridescel could have a new ability called Iridescent Scales which will change the typing of its signature move to be super effective against the opponents typing.

for the rock type gym if I wanted to grind levels just keep purposely failing to polish the gems I also love how you are making it more challenging because while it is fun to steam roll Pokémon games I also want a challenge which does usually appear in Pokémon games so if I am ever able to play it I can’t wait. The forge form battle looks so cool.

As someone who’s also on the spectrum, I want the best for Maria and definitely want her to achieve her goals in life as she kind of reminds me of myself expect instead of being out at sea, I play video games but we both have Pokémon there to help us out in dark times and I’d also give her a hug if I could.

Honestly this has got to me one of my all-time favorite fan pokemon projects. I literally adore every aspect from the character designs, their stories, the new pokemon, all of the things that served as inspiration, etc. I can't express how badly I wish this was a full game because I'd die happy if I could experience it fully!

Honestly I love them all...
You managed to give each and every one of your gymleaders a believable backstory a unique personality and a reasonable motivation why they are in charge of their respective gyms...
That is something not a single real Pokémon game achieved... I am stunned...
At first look I thought Sigrun or Ludvik would be be one if my favourits just by their appereance of tough warriors...
But normaly I love the fire or grass specialist the most so I love them as well simply based on their types...
Maria and Fangtasias storyies are phenomenal and I personally would love to spent most of my time with them just to get to understand them better...
Oh and dont let us forget the twins and the grandma... The opposites of the spectrum and jet they fit in perfectly in the whole concept of the region...
Only downer for me personally is that the gym leaders would always be 3 level above my own... I normaly train till I am at least two level above the foe I will face next...
And finally finally I got an idea of the whole fordge form battle mechanic... Seems amazing... Love it... Want that to be real...
I love the the non-binary representation in Ragnar/Fangtasia, and the fact that they use Dragon-types is even more awesome. A drag queen as a gym leader? Iconic.
I also really love the autism representation in Maria. She feels incredibly relatable, and is definitely my favourite character (along with Ragnar/Fangtasia).
Hearing that you’re making a Brazilian region makes me happy, I’m watching this in Brazil right now actually, can’t wait.

If you are bringing in Elsa into this there has to be a battle against her. I would also suggest a multi triple battle of you Minnie and Magnus against their parents (and someone else likley your mom, to balance the teams.) to help them knock some sense into them. Complete with epic thre on thre forge form fight.
Fangtasia's rematch team is definitely my favorite of the bunch, but my favorite gym leader would be Sigrun because she's strong and beautiful.
I could write paragraphs about how much I love this region and its characters, its all just so wonderful.
Also, I agree with the point with Ludvig, that gym leaders don’t need teams to consist entirely of new pokemon. Using new pokemon is meant to introduce them to the player and to give you memories of them, but very rarely does anyone remember the non-ace pokemon on gym leaders teams.
Side note: I’m curious, do the cities in Fyrrun have official names? You just kind of call them “the town where X happens”

My favorite gym leaders has to be Birkir and Ludvik. Former because he just fits in a region like Fyrun, while the latter is a bit of a more "love to hate" ala Harley from the Pokemon anime.

A few ideas for the gym music: Like Unova in b2w2, each gym will have a remixed theme that matches the typing of the gym.
Also, remember Reilmdall? Well, here's an idea for a sort of badge check gate: At the end of the route, that being a cliff which leads up to the region's Victory Road, you see a statue of Reilmdall, with an inscription on a plaque saying "Those who wish to challenge the Alfoodar, present the proof of your victories and I shall grant thee passage." You also see eight slots on the base of the statue, each one in the shape of a different badge. If you insert all eight badges, the statue's eyes will light up and blow it's horn, revealing the rainbow bridge, a bridge made of hard light glowing in seven colors, solid enough for you the player to walk on. There will also be a teleporter tile on the other side to warp you back if there were any last minute things to take care of, but don't worry, the bridge will remain active even after you leave.

I love this series so much and am always so impressed by your sense of game design, art design, and storytelling! I think the mini games for each gym challenge are really cool, but I do find it a little strange that some of them basically punish you with trainer battles if you fail them. I feel like the trainer battles leading up to the gym leader are one of things that make Pokémon gyms really fun, and they also give the player valuable EXP so they aren’t underleveled for the final gym leader battle. So I feel like if winning the mini games allows you to skip trainer battles in some gyms, that could be really detrimental to the experience. Basically, I would suggest structuring each gym with mini games, trainer battles, and the gym leader, where you have to beat the mini games to fight the trainers, and you have to beat all or most of the trainers to fight the gym leader. But other than that, keep up the great work!

I can imagine Team Brawn Thor actually mentioning your defeat of Minnie and Magnus in his pre-battle dialogue. Either shaming them for losing to a "mere Team Brain snake" if fought at the warehouse, or expressing excitement at the prospect of sparring with the "battle brother/sister" who bested his children if fought for Sthormur.

So Pokémon types only matter in the turn based style of the battles. In the free style sections only the forge forms weapon type determines the amount of damage done
Why give Huldelfolk the fighting type? and also I have never been more happy to see Maria, because she is honestly one of my favourite gym leaders in your Fakemon franchise. I love this character so much because of the thought, detail, and origin of this character, and also because she looks beautiful.

A full minute between turns seem like a really long time, but I otherwise think these forge forms are a really cool concept
Don’t forget free style sections only happen if you or your opponent are welding a forge form and most enemies who use one won’t use it till their final Pokémon. So in most cases you’ll have almost an entire regular turn based battle before forge forms come out and the free style sections are thrown into the mix.

for the rock type gym if I wanted to grind levels just keep purposely failing to polish the gems I also love how you are making it more challenging because while it is fun to steam roll Pokémon games I also want a challenge which does usually appear in Pokémon games so if I am ever able to play it I can’t wait.
