Learning 360 Top Soul - B-Roll

- I try to re-learn the switch 360 top soul now riding Roces M12 Joe Atkinsons flat.
This weeks B-Roll takes me back to Treetops Wellington, where I mainly skate some rain! I start off by skating the extended rail I missed last week. Then get into learning the 360 top soul. I finish it off by just mucking around and trying the consistency challenge. I changed a few things about the format, let me know what you think and suggest some new ideas!

Before even watching, I want to comment. @Brandon Drummond, your videos have been getting me pumped to get out and learn new tricks. I've been blading on and off forever, but you've given me the inspiration to get back on the blades and further my skills. Keep up the great content, and never stop shredding!

@@BrandonDrummond first 540 I did on a bank was by accident trying a 360. Never landed one nearly as good since haha.
I actually enjoy the ambiance of a distant wild crowd lol This is an extremely dorky comparison, but it reminds me of that part in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (the book) that was taking place in the campsite before Quidditch World Cup. Like a vibe of excited anticipation.
It sounds super fake ay. Like I added it in haha. There was a high school athletics day in the field next door.

Not sure exactly why but this was one of my favorite videos of yours for awhile. The editing kept things moving along nicely. Look forward to trying that tip to do 540 on quarter pipe.

It is ay! Its on top of a step hill so its super isolated feeling. Except the loud crowds of kids at the athletics field next to it haha

Is it weird that I had a dream that you and I were skating that park together. I ended up bustin’ my butt on the small rail and you had to drag me down the hill...I don’t even know if there is a hill there or not. Haha

Hey Brandon would you recommend the m12’s or the thems v1? I’m worried I’ll have trouble fitting in the size medium 908. I wear a 10.5-11 us shoe 280mm foot. Trying to get back at it after a 15year vacation. Thanks for all the videos really good stuff.
I wouldn't recommend the v1 Thems at all. Go for the 2.0 ones! You should fit the medium too! They go up to 290mm.
I prefer the M12s but they are a bit of a harder fit. Plus supporting Jon is a good cause, so if you hate them just get M12s next ;) If you can.

Damn, this is motivating me for sum agressive skating! How do you manage to do long grinds like that?! I only manage to slide for like 1,5 meters before stoping!
Just make sure the obstacle is not sticky or too rough, maybe wax it, approach with enough speed and then just keep balance while grinding. It's all about practicing. Good luck :)

Flowwie sums it up well. Rail is easier to hold grinds on than ledge. Make sure you wax the rail and hit it with a little more speed. When your feet lock onto the grind look towards the end of the rail. That will help you make it to the end. You can kind of see me doing this at the start of the video.

Same here! Especially concrete ledges. everyone says its unskateable on them but I want proof! haha
