Unfortunately those utility foods do not drop anymore during the event, so you either have to craft or purchase them. 3:40 They were removed last year from the trick or treat bags.
There's also a newish food that provides 35% MF, 20% gold and 15% Experience. It's called homemade campfire treat. You can buy the recipe now during the event!
Gonna have to write down all the things I need to remember for the labyrinth and set it on my keyboard otherwise I know I'm only going to remember it mid run. :S
Isn't it better to use the enrichment slot and the guild buff for xp? I know this video is about magic find, i am just wondering especially with the amount of xp that the labyrinth gives.
If you're grabbing the buff from Madame Cookie you def could get more value from the exp gain, depends what you're going for tho. I myself rarely use spirit shards, but I know friends who are forever limited on them when crafting leggies.
Because this is my first Mad King event, you use MF prior to opening whatever the drops are ( chests/trick bags)? Or are they to increase the chance of the drops themselves as you farm to be of higher quality? Or both? I did the tower jump puzzle and have 89 trick or treat bags no clue what to do with these save, sell ..MF then open. What is good what is crap.... truthfully the effort to learn the even is exhausting.
I've been there dw. MF should be used before you enter the Mad King's Lab, so that it affects the loot that drops from the enemies. Since they should be getting killed at a decent rate, you should get a lot of use out of the MF buff timers whilst in the Lab. Opening the Trick or Treat loot bags are not affected by MF at all, so you can save these to open at the end of your run / end of the festival when all your buffs have run out without any issue. It's up to you what to do with them, I personally enjoy the gamble and like to open all of them and watch all the numbers go brrrrr. If it can't be deposited into your bank, or sold on the TP, it's likely trash. If you right click and preview the ToT bags, you can kinda guage what is valueable based on where it falls in the drop table. I hope this helps, anything else lmk ^-^
Oh and for reference, any open-able loot bags/boxes etc. that you have, should state in its description if it is affected by magic find or not. There's not too many that are. But if it is, consider saving it for a time where you might stack MF (I know vet players keep stuff in bank tabs for months until either Halloween, or Lunar New Year festivals come around but that's playing very long game lmao)

Candy Corn Cobs are best raw gold value. The personalised bags have the chance to drop higher value items though.
