So the logo for HvV wasn't actually finalized until after the season; the materials on the island that included the logo (buffs, any challenges that used the logo, etc) used 20 generic stand-in silhouettes on the logo instead.
That's such a cool piece of Survivor trivia that I didn't know! I'll keep an eye out of that on my next re-watch. So we now know that the designing of the logo happens some time between deciding the size of the cast, and actually finalizing the cast itself...
Yeah, that's actually a good point I didn't think of when pointing that out. Cuz that was around the time that cast size was still relatively fluctuous (I think Samoa/HvV was the first time they had the same cast size for back-to-back seasons since All Stars/Vanuatu if I'm doing my math right)
I fully agree. If we don't at least get that one hanging bat puzzle in Survivor 47 I'm going to be seething. Although now I'm wondering what an octopus themed challenge would look like...
Maybe like when they had to drag that heavy snake thing out of a cage in the water, except they have to drag octopus tentacles? Idk that’s the first thing that came to mind 😂
@@HenryHickmanSurvivorespecially with the hanging bat challenge being such a nailbiter the last time we saw it (the final 6 of 43), genuinely can't remember the last time i was *that* engaged with a challenge
Until proven otherwise, I've been convinced that the skulls in the Survivor 47 logo means one of Exile Island, Ghost Island or Edge of Extinction is returning this season.

The new era logos has been kinda lowering its aesthetic as we progress through the seasons. Despite that, I still always look forward to seeing the design of the season logo.
Yeah they started strong, but the lack of themes means they have to go abstract. There's nothing to grip to. 41 sort of had a theme so that's fine, but 42 onward have nothing.
They're so cool! That clip from Island of the Idols where Tommy noticed the logo was different is so neat to me, incorporating everyday aspects of the game as a clue? Yes please. It's also funny to consider just how much time a castaway spends staring at the logo, I've heard it's a lot!
@HenryHickmanSurvivor I want to point out that there was 2 pelicans on the survivor 45 logo and 2 quits geuss who was the first quit in survivor history? Osten and he was associated with guess what? PELICANS coincidence I THINK NOT
@@HenryHickmanSurvivor I would love to see it honestly. And if the logos don’t evoke strong enough feelings, you can always do a ranking of the immunity tribe idols/necklaces instead
If there’s one thing that Survivor has always been consistent at, it’s making great logos for their seasons
I agree, and it's a lot of fun seeing them get more complex over time! Contrasting the Marquesas logo with David vs Goliath is a trip.
and torch snuffers
As you said you could talk about this for hours, the humble people of hickmansland DEMANDS a longer version of this video lmao
If I ever rank all the logos that will probably be the longer version!
If you ask "do you want me to make that in another video?" the answer is always yes
Glad to hear! It's unlikely I'll ever run out of video ideas in that case.

Only a reference to the location with Captain Cook on the boat.
As an NZer I really should've pointed that out, good catch!

I believe you mean all three!
Calling Survivor Tocantins "Survivor Brazil" would take away the only thing that makes me remember of the state 😂
As a kid I didn't even realise Tocantins was a state of Brazil, I just assumed it was another country!
7:30 wasnt the immunity idol a pelican?
Oops someone already said this

The sillhouette in All-Stars Logo reminds me of Sean Rector for some reason... weird.
Yeah I can see it, but no clue why they'd choose him specifically...he wasn't even on All Stars!
They actually changed the HvV Logo after filming. The Logo in the show is similar but for example didnt feature Russel.
Fun bit of trivia I didn't know before making the video! Cheers for that, I'll keep an eye out on rewatches.

The logo challenge will not include a new era logo because it would just be putting them in order and who can't count?
Although if they eventually get away from putting numbers in logos it would be funny to throw one in there...
