Hello Brittney, A quick way to keep your taper candles standing tall is to lightly heat and melt the bottoms, then place them in the holder so they will harden to fit. This works well if you ever go to use one right away and didn't have the stocky dots to help. I have also wrapped the tapers in some saran/cellophane to make the bottoms bigger. ❤ Your Dining Table
