That is a nice sweet potato harvest. And yes you can still eat the tators that are split. Just cut the split part out. Throw away any that soft in spots or smelly. Good job
I just saw your sweet potato video. It’s the first time I have seen your channel and I enjoyed it. Your sweet potato harvest was great. I never understand why one bag does so much and another doesn’t. I look forward to more of your videos and what zone are you in? I’m in 6 A in Missouri and we have frost coming this week low 90s today. Anyway I’m going to be digging my sweet potato grow bag in a few days. Have a great day.
@conniepayne591 Funny you should ask this! I have some volunteers growing in one of my compost bins ! I put the vines in it after my harvest and they are growing out the bin! 😂 I will take some pictures for you and post them in my community tab. I also had volunteer purple potatoes growing in my compost bin two years ago. Crazy! Thanks for watching!😀
Hello my name is Janett I'm new to your channel I was told that you can get a spray bottle put some water in it and add some brown sugar and a little salt mix it up real good and Spray it will kill the white fly's and other bugs 😊
I hope you give it another try! Not sure what zone your in, but plant the slips as soon as the soil temps get 50 degrees or warmer. Make sure your soil is loose and airy. Add some phosphate, compost, and potassium! I also add some nitrogen in the beginning as well. @putinhynes3848😊 Thank you for watching and welcome!🤗
Hi @shawnspear1180. Thank you for watching! They are sweet after leaving them cure in my high humidity room for three or more weeks. I then store them in a cool room inside a burlap sack or cardboard box, in darkness or low light, until i am ready to use them. When curing them make sure the temperature is 80 to 85 degrees. This works for me. 😀
