Duncan can complain all he wants, Lewis is actually doing a totally viable strat, even if Duncan can't recognize it and Lewis doesn't realize it: central lines, many shorter to cover multiple cities, and many, many tickets to capitalize on multiple bonus points via all those connected cities. Duncan is ALSO doing a viable strat here, but Duncan needs to not completely abandon tickets, which is what he seems to be doing. Every iteration of Ticket to Ride has different wrinkles, but the classic US map tends to go to the person who can do most tickets, even if the longer routes are worth more points on their own.
The us map is built entirely around tickets and therefore short routes. The longer routes are to prevent people from completely blocking you, for example you place a 2 or 3 before placing a 6.
@@drsyndrome3486 Oh, concept-wise, of course. I'm just saying that you CAN, if you're an experienced player, do an all-long-route win with a bit of luck... or to counter a bad-luck run wherein your tickets seem to be best served by using the long routes, and your opponents are all tied up in the center competing for short routes.
Lol Duncan has the funniest reaction to Lewis and this game in general. I think it says in the rule book that whoever takes the most tickets will win. Lewis is so smug haha :P
A lot of people don't know how big the board game world really is. Most of them think that clue, monopoly and Risk are the only board game systems that exist. It's always amazing to see those moogles discovering a new board game: it usually blows their mind and they enter in a spiral of discovery and countless hours of fun with family and friends.
So aggravating. Lewis keeps saying "I'm gonna take all 3" and they're telling him he's crazy, then he makes it work and they say "how TF are you doing it?"
To be fair, Lewis got quite lucky with his Ticket draws. Everytime he either had them completed already or just needed to add a little route somewhere. 'tis still a viable strategy which he pulled off well.

Hey yogcast crew. Could you mod "the golden bee". A lonewolf unkillable one shooting fast golden bee. Could be a clown weapon to sew chaos. When he pops
Lewis bragging is truly some five star bragging, but the real icing on the cake is the massive amounts of salt from everyone else.
It's Civ all over again

@@BlueStormZion yeah but he'd have to be good at the game to do that
@@fugyfruit Yep, exactly. Duncan's big complaint basically boils down to "I'm not good enough to use my strategy to beat Lewis."
lewis being the train god really infuriates them.
Imagine if Lewis pulled three more cards at the end and completed them all too!
I missed this so much
also they start playing at 9:00
THANK you
At the start; Rythian: "There's a really sh*tty echo." Hahahahaha!
@@BodywiseMustard What can I say? I'm easily amused! That's probably why I watch the Yogscast! Haha!
@@BodywiseMustard i, a simple man, found it funny AF.

I love the eighteen-digit game number. Apparently we're planning on playing nine hundred trillion games of Ticket to Ride today.
I remember playing this at summer camp like 10 years ago; such nostalgia

Good plays by Lewis. The more you draw the higher the chance of getting something small and easy.
That settles it, buying the physical version for my friends and I so I can crush them
Totally Worth it. I got the physical version of Europe, one of my favourite games.
Love the Ticket to Ride games.
Duncan so salty that Lewis actually played well. "So lucky"
So aggravating. Lewis keeps saying "I'm gonna take all 3" and they're telling him he's crazy, then he makes it work and they say "how TF are you doing it?"
Your whinging doesn't make us think you're the real winner Dunc, it makes us think you are a sore loser

@@Karlimoor like the others said the middle of the board is usually the most useful in the US MAP since there's a lot of small stations.
I do want to see Duncan's dresses. Maybe someday.

"It's not stupid, it's my livelihood" I hear ya brotha
Utterly amazing! Love it.
Someone please clip Daltos @ 15:49 ;0
Lewis well played sir, truly unmatched and point proven. Daltos' pea brain could not even fathom.
37:00 As a Canadian, it hurts how poorly Duncan mispronounced "The Sue" (St. Marie).
What software/simulator are they using to play all these games?
Tabletop Simulator for the board games, but something else for Ticket to Ride (think it’s a standalone version). Might be wrong!
Can you guys maybe do a blood and plunder playtrough
Play gaia project guys. Best big-ish game for me right now.
Wonderful
Play gloomhaven

Duncan will always fail at everything he does because he can't figure out the difference between skill and luck.
Sjin me up guys
said nobody.
{REDACTED} me up guys
Literally thought of this when Daltos said they should start some controversy to become relevant again XD
