- My summary/learnings/experience on Banff:
🏔️ Most people are expats/travellers/work+travel (many Aussies)
🏔️ Best to go in either Winter (snow sports) or Summer (hiking/canoeing)
🏔️ Sunnies are needed in the snow because the sun reflects on it (very bright)
🏔️ Spring = leftover snowsuit not snowy
🏔️ They love their specials here (eg, taco Tuesdays, wine Wednesdays)
🏔️ Lots of cars have cracked windows because in Winter they put sand down and sometimes the rocks in it hit the screen
🏔️ People will party any day of the week (biggest day being Sundays)
🏔️ Hostel experience: No one asks what you do for work because no one cares. They care to know you as a person and work to live.
