K3 Working at height Procedure

Working at height is an activity or work activity carried out by workers at a place on the surface of the land or waters where there is a difference in height and has the potential to fall.
Can cause injury or death to workers or other people in the workplace or cause property damage.
In minimizing accidents when working at heights, the government through the Regulation of the Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia Number 9 of 2016 concerning Occupational Safety and Health at Work at Height
It has been regulated that every company or entrepreneur must have work procedures which include:
Fall protection techniques and methods;
How to manage equipment;
Techniques and methods of carrying out work supervision;
Workplace Security; and
Emergency preparedness and response
The implementation of K3 can be done by ensuring the following:
- Planning
- Work procedures
- Safe Working Techniques
- PPE and supporting equipment
- Competent Workforce in the field of K3
Workers who will carry out activities at heights are also required to receive training on the introduction of personal protective equipment and how to use it
The training aims to increase the ability of workers to recognize the potential for serious injury when working at heights and determine methods that are safe and minimize risks.
Working at heights cannot involve workers at random. Workers who will work at heights must have the skills or abilities to use work tools as well as the knowledge and awareness to work safely for themselves and those around them.
Which means, workers at height must be competent and authorized people because they understand the field of K3 at Altitude.
