Welp, here is one of my videos to celebrate my 5th year on TH-cam! Enjoy!
Amblin Entertainment, Inc. is an American film production company founded by director and producer Steven Spielberg in 1970. The company's headquarters are located in Bungalow 477 of the Universal Studios backlot in Universal City, California. The company distributes all of the films from Amblin Partners under the Amblin Entertainment name.
Amblin is named after Spielberg's first commercially released film, Amblin' (1968), a short independent film about a man and woman hitchhiking through the desert. The film, which cost $15,000 to produce, was shown for Universal Studios and won Spielberg more directing roles. Although Amblin is an independent production company, Universal distributes many Amblin productions, and Amblin operates out of a building on the Universal lot.
Its logo features the silhouette of E.T. riding in the basket on Elliott's bicycle flying in front of the moon from the 1982 movie, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.

I remember seeing that logo before i watched ET and thinking it was a man who tried out his flying bicycle invention.
Wow! 40 years of Amblin! Mr. Steven Spielberg is STILL the king!
Even the _Animaniacs_ hold the rights to Amblin Entertainment! It has been so long since their first airing in 1993!

Its fascinating how they used the first animated logo of Elliott and E.T from 1984 ALL THE WAY TILL 2014. AND IT STILL HELD UP.

This orchestral theme was composed by John Williams was used with this logo on Young Sherlock Holmes, The Color Purple, The Money Pit, and the 1987 theatrical reissue (as well as the 1988 VHS, the 2012/2017 Blu-Ray/DVD releases, and ABC Family/Freeform print) of E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.
This surprisingly appears at the end of the TV movie Amazing Stories: The Movie II.
It was actually founded in 1981

I believe this is the first logo of amblin entertainment in 1984, after it was found in 1981.
As an in credit logo on most projects since 1981, it reads "an Amblin Entertainment production."
