Hi Charlotte. You make them all sound wonderful! I just tried the the OG Scandal. It seems to go straight to the base notes on me, which was disappointing. No citrus, no honey, no white florals, no peach! Not sweet at all! It smelled pretty harsh on me to be honest, and I had the same experience with JPG's La Belle. What am I smelling in these base notes? A very specific type of patchouli from the JPG house or something else? I have other fragrances with patchouli that are not harsh....so I'm flummoxed! For reference the Classique Essence is good on me..... what do you think? ✨

Scandal is my guilty pleasure! 🍯 I wear it for myself as a form of self comfort and self care. I just sold the Scandal by Night and I regret it 😢 But maybe that was fate, because I found a great deal for the original Scandal 😊
I Love Love So scandal . I got a gift sample from my friend and decided to buy a full size as i like it so so much . It’s sweet but not cloying instead it’s so fresh and clean and that raspberry smell is so yummy🥰

JPG makes some goooood quality perfumes! Labelle and Scandal by night were my most worn perfumes last fall Mmmmm sweet and delicious 🤤 I have Scandal and Scandal by night and i prefer by night version
I love and prefer the original over the ‘by night’ (don’t care for the cough-syrup cherry note) and ‘paris’ (eh, not rich enough for me) flankers, I adore the rich, delicious caramel + juicy citrus-fruitiness + sexy white florals in the OG (strange that the honey does not immediately jump out at me, but I’m okay with that). I think the licorice + beeswax + florals makes it feel grown-up and womanly inspite of the sweetness and juiciness. However, I really want to test ‘so scandal’ before making a final decision which to purchase, that’s the only version I haven’t tried...the notes sound amazing...I love red berries in general (Burberry Her is actually my signature everyday scent! Funny you should mention it here!), I also adore tuberose (white florals in general really), and the creamy/milky note sounds delicious, so I can’t wait to try it!
Wow, Leo, I really like how you described all the flankers (I have similar feelings and interpretations to yours! - "A Paris" as well - I've acquired it since this video). You described the fullness of Scandal OG very well + I agree that it's the more mature, womanly one. 👌🏼I definitely think you might like So Scandal if you love berries and Tuberose. It's definitely the most "different" from the other flankers. ❤️🤗

I just got Scandal the original in the mail..smells good so far… sexy.. syrupy.. good for winters in Ohio where it gets pretty cold… seems oily should be long lasting hopefully!
I blind bought Scandal and Scandal by night. I was hoping for a super sickeningly sweet fragrance but to me these had strong floral and slightly powdery notes. It smelled very dated and borderline mature to me, so I had to sell them :( I might try so scandal
Thanks for sharing! I think what you're describing makes total sense and I think it might be a combination of the honey/beeswax and patchouli. If it is that, So Scandal is absolutely a better choice for you, and I also think it's the most "modern" and young in that sense too. I suspect the A Paris version might be better suited for you too. ❤️

Welcome and thank you so much! 🤗 I recently smelled Scandal a Paris and it was very nice - definitely fresher and one of the biggest differences I noticed is the lack of patchouli - for those who didn't like the other scandals I think it makes it less potentially heavy, cloying, or scratchy. Anyway, I love them ALL from the line, haha - I would love to hear your thoughts on the other ones once you get a change to smell them. 😉❤️

I was wearing Girl of now Shine and after testing Scandal by Night I couldn't make a big difference between both of them and after trying all of the Scandals I ended up buying So Scandal. It was a love from first sniff, omg it is so beautiful on my skin and I am surprised that I haven't heard about it before 🤨I did not know what the notes are in this, but like it so much then I found out that there is a tuberose and this is one of my fav notes 😊Btw So Scandal is very similar to My Way, but sweeter and darker- beautiful fragrance ❤️

Hmm, I don’t personally get coconut, no. Maybe it’s the creamy tuberose, vanilla, cherry combination giving that effect? 🤔 I’m not a huge coconut fan to begin with either though and I don’t get coconut out of this perfume fwiw! ❣️

I love scandal, the berry + tuberose and then that touch of milkiness is just perfect. I normally hate sweet perfumes and im into oriental niche perfumes but this is an exception
I'm a fragrance weirdo for sure! I have all of them (including the a Paris) except for the So Scandal, but I plan to get that one too...lol. The A Paris is still very sweet with the honey but it has a beautiful fresh pear and it's an EDT so it would make it the most palatable version for the heat in the Summer. It lasts fairly long for an edt so I would say it's worth it. There are also some similarities with the So Scandal with Givenchy l'interdit (or the edt). It's the Tuberose! Do you have l'interdit?
I don't have l'interdit but I have been dying to try it and the intense version (actually I used to mainly be interested in the intense version because of that sesame note but now I want BOTH 😅) I really think I might love them. The way you describe A Paris sounds EXACTLY like what I was hoping it would be and now I feel like I need to get my nose on that one haha! Have to! Hey Missy! 🤗I definitely would recommend So Scandal for tuberose. Scandal by night has a nice tuberose but it also has a lot more going on with the cherry and honey etc. So Scandal is a really fun interpretation of tuberose with that raspberry just amplifying the bubble gumminess of the the tuberose.

Do you have Hot couture!? It has a beautiful raspberry note that is to die for . I think you would love A Paris it has a strong jasmine and lots of honey in the dry down !! I like scandal by night, so scandal then the og. I have issues with beeswax though, so that explains that. The nard in scandal by night makes me keep sniffing. It's weird!
@@CharlotteRossx I don't know what it is smell wise, but I think because sometimes I get honey with the comb in and sometimes I love it and sometimes not, I guess it might have something to do with how much beeswax there is to honey maybe? Anyway scandal makes me think of bad honeycomb situations.

I just got my cacharel yes I am today, just sprayed for the first time on my arm...I LOVE. love at first sniff!! sweet, almost powdery, fruity but raspberry fruity oh man. girl. this is good. In the gardens at Blickling Hall in England is a large magnolia tree. I once stood under it when it was in blossom, and it had that exact Bazooka Joe bubblegum scent that you describe.

I have the flankers, but don't have the OG scandal😂 I think scandal by night is my favorite, followed by scandal a Paris, then so scandal... Only because so scandal is similar to givenchy linterdit with the heavy Tuberose and a Paris is brighter
i was a bit scared of Scandal before.. but I have been wearing it more now... and maaaan ! it is SWEEEEEET! i do have to say though that the honey can be piss-y... you know what I mean... LOL but it is sooo good.... i really want to swap it with By Night... but... i can wait...i can wait.... (or so I say...) A Paris was my first favorite out of the original and So Scandal was a very close second.... Bazooka ! oh my .... that is So Scandal! so true !! i also find so scandal to be a lot smoother.. not as harsh as the original...
I have Scandal by Night due to the hype reviews by many for long lasting and sweet effect . A total upset ! My final verdict is this entire line ( except So Scandal, I don’t have it ) shares the same DNA 🧬 with La Nuit Tresor suitable for dated and mature woman, no way for American lol 😝 . My skin does get along with all parfum olfactory, especially Gaultier have been with me since 1996. Scandal is not sweet by the virtue of gourmands but truly dark , smoky , exotic characters . The scent to me is dirty sexy vibe of cheap stripper s clubs or pole dancers in suburb, no way she is near to a party girl in Upscale neighborhood of Paris lol or landing in the boudoir of the French mansion per the brand s concept . How perfect and unique La Belle original is , Scandal failed ...

So Scandal is the only one that I would say is quite different from the others - it's the only one without honey or patchouli so it doesn't have the "dirty" vibe you might get in the other scandals. I ordered the so scandal because I’m finding I really like raspberry too. I have lancome la vie est belle intensement and the Ralph Lauren beyond Romance , it has a raspberry note. I want more raspberry in my life ♥️🥰

Your English is fine! Honestly, it's hard to tell because I like all of those and I like all the Scandals LOL - it works better to know based on what you *don't* like - then I can steer you away form one or another. I will say that the common complaint for the original scandal is the strong patchouli and slightly more animalic scent to it - I recently got Scandal a Paris and that one is lighter without the patchouli - if you like honey maybe try scandal a Paris. If you like super sweet and rich, maybe Scandal by Night. You might also like the sweet bubblegummy So Scandal. Now I'm probably confusing you.... 😂 I would say Scandal by Night might be your first choice according to your likes.🥰

Hi Charlotte, I haven't smelled any of them. I just ordered JPG classique essence this morning. Someone was saying that the Scandal line smells heavily of patchouli. I have a really hard time with patchouli fragrances. Thoughts? Edit: I really love sweet perfumes. Just finally got La Belle and fell in love!!
Hi Maria. I do agree that this line might not be for you if you're bothered by patchouli. I find it totally fine and I actually love it in these fragrances (it's not an angel patchouli if you know what I mean) but if you are very sensitive to patchouli I would not consider the original scandal. "So scandal" does not have that patchouli base that the other two have and is super smooth with no sharpness or fuzziness. And yes I think La Belle is more universally well-liked/tolerated (I love it as well, but I know some people who love it don't also like the scandal line). Definitely sample them beforehand - I would love to hear your thoughts if you do, andI hope that helps! 😘
La belle is boooooomb, it's the only perfume in my collection that i have a back up bottle of it 🤣🤣 I have Scandal by night and it's not heavy on the patchouli it's more of a super sweet cherry honey bomb

I don’t know which one I would like more but I have the OG and never smelt the others. The OG is what I wore when I went to Paris so it just has a certain memory to it. So I think I would like that first, so scandal second as I don’t have anything bubblegum yet in my perfume collection. I’m listing for edp l’interdit by givenchy which has that creamy bubblegum vibe, but I have hot pulled the trigger yet on it (which I’m glad now because I think I should smell so scandal to make a comparison), I also live in California so I imagine to a Paris version would work better for my climate. And last I would go with the by night because I am in my mid twenties, but I do try to smell older than I am because I feel like people trust u more when u smell the part. But it could be a night out thing if I really had to, I mean who knows I never smelt them so i may like to more than I think but so far nahhh.
I LOOOOOVE your detailed answers, Dilly! I have to tell you, I have recently acquired L'interdit (shhh, it's in an upcoming haul video) and it's quite different from So Scandal. So Scandal is a lot more carefree and youthful and bubblegummy. L'interdit is beautiful but quite a bit more mature, a little bit soft spicy (I wasn't expecting that part, earthy (vetiver and patchouli) and more complex than So Scandal. It's a really lovely GROUNDED white floral - I imagine the perfect time to wear it, personally, being in transitional summer to fall, winter to spring. I like them both - but definitely quite different! And as for the Scandal line, I find the most "mature" one to be the OG (which I love) - it sounds like you have the best one for you! ❤️
The original is amazing. By night is a worse version of the OG for me. It's too much. I like So scandal but I really really miss the sticky sweet honey note. OG remains my fave.

I love Scandal à Paris, perfect for begining of spring 🌱 I neeeeed scandal by night, but I should wait... lol 😅💕 I got a sample of So Scandal, that I almost bought because I love raspberry. But oh man, I'm sorry to say this, but the opening I just can't do... it smells very chemical hairspray like to me. In the drydown I do get a more bubblegumlike scent, but still can't get over that hairspray 😅

I smelled So scandal in a perfume shop and i didn't like it at all! The raspberry note is so sharp and strong i don't mind the tuberose in it but it smelled so synthetic and weird 😵 i expected some honey in it but noooo it smelled like a synthetic raspberry version of l'interdit by givenchy
It’s definitely very different from the others because of the lack of honey! And I agree that it’s not a “natural” smell haha! I still have yet to try l’interdît and you are not the first person I hear describing it that way.
I love both the OG scandal ( I have 3 of the OG ones) and one of scandal by night, I’ve been wanting to try the so scandal one but I don’t want it to be too simple , I like the depth of the other two the most. 💕
Yes, I agree, I love how complex and deep and mysterious the two OG Scandals have! I have since bought the edt and, to me, that's the most unremarkable one. It has the honey and the sweetness but without the depth. So scandal I still love, but it's funny how little it has to do with the rest of the line. It really is like an entirely different fragrance!
I think if you want something fresh you definitely might prefer the Scandal à Paris flanker! I have since added it to my collection and it keeps a lot of the original Scandal while keeping it fresh. Alternatively, So Scandal is the most different but more floral, less heavy than the OG, and definitely sexy.
I had a decant of scandal by night last year and I couldn’t get on board with the cough syrup cherry. I now have Scandal in a decant and I like it way more.

I wouldn't say so, no. So scandal is a lot rounder and smoother and more easy to wear IMO - Velvet Vanilla is quite screechy and sharp - I do enjoy it and wear it on occasion but I have to be in the mood and totally see how it can be a headache-inducing sharp mess to some. I don't get that with So Scandal - maybe it's the milk note? Anyway, either way - I feel like it's important to note this difference between the two! It makes them quite different from each other. What am I smelling in these base notes? A very specific type of patchouli from the JPG house or something else? I have other fragrances with patchouli that are not harsh....so I'm flummoxed! For reference the Classique Essence is good on me..... what do you think? ✨

I love and prefer the original over the ‘by night’ (don’t care for the cough-syrup cherry note) and ‘paris’ (eh, not rich enough for me) flankers, I adore the rich, delicious caramel + juicy citrus-fruitiness + sexy white florals in the OG (strange that the honey does not immediately jump out at me, but I’m okay with that). I think the licorice + beeswax + florals makes it feel grown-up and womanly inspite of the sweetness and juiciness. However, I really want to test ‘so scandal’ before making a final decision which to purchase, that’s the only version I haven’t tried...the notes sound amazing...I love red berries in general (Burberry Her is actually my signature everyday scent! Funny you should mention it here!), I also adore tuberose (white florals in general really), and the creamy/milky note sounds delicious, so I can’t wait to try it!

I blind bought Scandal and Scandal by night. I was hoping for a super sickeningly sweet fragrance but to me these had strong floral and slightly powdery notes. It smelled very dated and borderline mature to me, so I had to sell them :( I might try so scandal

If it is that, So Scandal is absolutely a better choice for you, and I also think it's the most "modern" and young in that sense too. Welcome and thank you so much! 🤗 I recently smelled Scandal a Paris and it was very nice - definitely fresher and one of the biggest differences I noticed is the lack of patchouli - for those who didn't like the other scandals I think it makes it less potentially heavy, cloying, or scratchy. Anyway, I love them ALL from the line, haha - I would love to hear your thoughts on the other ones once you get a change to smell them. 😉❤️

It was a love from first sniff, omg it is so beautiful on my skin and I am surprised that I haven't heard about it before 🤨I did not know what the notes are in this, but like it so much then I found out that there is a tuberose and this is one of my fav notes 😊Btw So Scandal is very similar to My Way, but sweeter and darker- beautiful fragrance ❤️

I'm a fragrance weirdo for sure! I have all of them (including the a Paris) except for the So Scandal, but I plan to get that one too...lol. The A Paris is still very sweet with the honey but it has a beautiful fresh pear and it's an EDT so it would make it the most palatable version for the heat in the Summer. It lasts fairly long for an edt so I would say it's worth it. There are also some similarities with the So Scandal with Givenchy l'interdit (or the edt). It's the Tuberose! Do you have l'interdit?
I don't have l'interdit but I have been dying to try it and the intense version (actually I used to mainly be interested in the intense version because of that sesame note but now I want BOTH 😅) I really think I might love them. The way you describe A Paris sounds EXACTLY like what I was hoping it would be and now I feel like I need to get my nose on that one haha! Have to! Hey Missy! 🤗I definitely would recommend So Scandal for tuberose. Scandal by night has a nice tuberose but it also has a lot more going on with the cherry and honey etc. So Scandal is a really fun interpretation of tuberose with that raspberry just amplifying the bubble gumminess of the the tuberose.

I like scandal by night, so scandal then the og. I have issues with beeswax though, so that explains that. The nard in scandal by night makes me keep sniffing. It's weird!

In the gardens at Blickling Hall in England is a large magnolia tree. I once stood under it when it was in blossom, and it had that exact Bazooka Joe bubblegum scent that you describe.

I have Scandal by Night due to the hype reviews by many for long lasting and sweet effect . A total upset ! My final verdict is this entire line ( except So Scandal, I don’t have it ) shares the same DNA 🧬 with La Nuit Tresor suitable for dated and mature woman, no way for American lol 😝 . My skin does get along with all parfum olfactory, especially Gaultier have been with me since 1996. Scandal is not sweet by the virtue of gourmands but truly dark , smoky , exotic characters . The scent to me is dirty sexy vibe of cheap stripper s clubs or pole dancers in suburb, no way she is near to a party girl in Upscale neighborhood of Paris lol or landing in the boudoir of the French mansion per the brand s concept . How perfect and unique La Belle original is , Scandal failed ...

Your English is fine! Honestly, it's hard to tell because I like all of those and I like all the Scandals LOL - it works better to know based on what you *don't* like - then I can steer you away form one or another. I will say that the common complaint for the original scandal is the strong patchouli and slightly more animalic scent to it - I recently got Scandal a Paris and that one is lighter without the patchouli - if you like honey maybe try scandal a Paris. If you like super sweet and rich, maybe Scandal by Night. You might also like the sweet bubblegummy So Scandal. Now I'm probably confusing you.... 😂 I would say Scandal by Night might be your first choice according to your likes.🥰

Hi Charlotte, I haven't smelled any of them. I just ordered JPG classique essence this morning. Someone was saying that the Scandal line smells heavily of patchouli. I have a really hard time with patchouli fragrances. Thoughts?
Edit: I really love sweet perfumes. Just finally got La Belle and fell in love!!
Hi Maria. I do agree that this line might not be for you if you're bothered by patchouli. I find it totally fine and I actually love it in these fragrances (it's not an angel patchouli if you know what I mean) but if you are very sensitive to patchouli I would not consider the original scandal. "So scandal" does not have that patchouli base that the other two have and is super smooth with no sharpness or fuzziness. And yes I think La Belle is more universally well-liked/tolerated (I love it as well, but I know some people who love it don't also like the scandal line). Definitely sample them beforehand - I would love to hear your thoughts if you do, andI hope that helps! 😘
Scandal A Paris is beautiful as well and has no patchouli in it. It’s reminiscent of La Belle yet different.
La belle is boooooomb, it's the only perfume in my collection that i have a back up bottle of it 🤣🤣
I have Scandal by night and it's not heavy on the patchouli it's more of a super sweet cherry honey bomb

I don’t know which one I would like more but I have the OG and never smelt the others. The OG is what I wore when I went to Paris so it just has a certain memory to it. So I think I would like that first, so scandal second as I don’t have anything bubblegum yet in my perfume collection. I’m listing for edp l’interdit by givenchy which has that creamy bubblegum vibe, but I have hot pulled the trigger yet on it (which I’m glad now because I think I should smell so scandal to make a comparison), I also live in California so I imagine to a Paris version would work better for my climate. And last I would go with the by night because I am in my mid twenties, but I do try to smell older than I am because I feel like people trust u more when u smell the part. But it could be a night out thing if I really had to, I mean who knows I never smelt them so i may like to more than I think but so far nahhh.
I LOOOOOVE your detailed answers, Dilly! I have to tell you, I have recently acquired L'interdit (shhh, it's in an upcoming haul video) and it's quite different from So Scandal. So Scandal is a lot more carefree and youthful and bubblegummy. L'interdit is beautiful but quite a bit more mature, a little bit soft spicy (I wasn't expecting that part, earthy (vetiver and patchouli) and more complex than So Scandal. It's a really lovely GROUNDED white floral - I imagine the perfect time to wear it, personally, being in transitional summer to fall, winter to spring. I like them both - but definitely quite different! And as for the Scandal line, I find the most "mature" one to be the OG (which I love) - it sounds like you have the best one for you! ❤️
The original is amazing. By night is a worse version of the OG for me. It's too much. I like So scandal but I really really miss the sticky sweet honey note. OG remains my fave.

I love Scandal à Paris, perfect for begining of spring 🌱 I neeeeed scandal by night, but I should wait... lol 😅💕 I got a sample of So Scandal, that I almost bought because I love raspberry. But oh man, I'm sorry to say this, but the opening I just can't do... it smells very chemical hairspray like to me. In the drydown I do get a more bubblegumlike scent, but still can't get over that hairspray 😅

I smelled So scandal in a perfume shop and i didn't like it at all! The raspberry note is so sharp and strong i don't mind the tuberose in it but it smelled so synthetic and weird 😵 i expected some honey in it but noooo it smelled like a synthetic raspberry version of l'interdit by givenchy
It’s definitely very different from the others because of the lack of honey! And I agree that it’s not a “natural” smell haha! I still have yet to try l’interdît and you are not the first person I hear describing it that way.
I love both the OG scandal ( I have 3 of the OG ones) and one of scandal by night, I’ve been wanting to try the so scandal one but I don’t want it to be too simple , I like the depth of the other two the most. 💕
Yes, I agree, I love how complex and deep and mysterious the two OG Scandals have! I have since bought the edt and, to me, that's the most unremarkable one. It has the honey and the sweetness but without the depth. So scandal I still love, but it's funny how little it has to do with the rest of the line. It really is like an entirely different fragrance!

Which scandal has nice floral, sexy, fresh & long lasting smell.
I think if you want something fresh you definitely might prefer the Scandal à Paris flanker! I have since added it to my collection and it keeps a lot of the original Scandal while keeping it fresh. Alternatively, So Scandal is the most different but more floral, less heavy than the OG, and definitely sexy.
I had a decant of scandal by night last year and I couldn’t get on board with the cough syrup cherry. I now have Scandal in a decant and I like it way more.
It's definitely sweet, syrupy, and over the top! It seems those that prefer that one, don't like the OG Scandal that much, and vice-versa. I'm glad to hear you like the original Scandal. 🥰 Thanks for sharing, Stephanie. 🤗❤️

I wouldn't say so, no. So scandal is a lot rounder and smoother and more easy to wear IMO - Velvet Vanilla is quite screechy and sharp - I do enjoy it and wear it on occasion but I have to be in the mood and totally see how it can be a headache-inducing sharp mess to some. I don't get that with So Scandal - maybe it's the milk note? Anyway, either way - I feel like it's important to note this difference between the two! It makes them quite different from each other.
