Hi all. This bit is from different experiences during my corporate life at Deloitte and Aon Hewitt, clubbed into one story. The characters’ names of course changed (or maybe not). But they should start thinking that they are only doing these extra activities and almost no work.

Just makes me realise how incompetent these companies are to loose a hardworking employees and endup with jokers at the end just because they couldn't do justice to the hard work that these people put in.
Leadership at the top won't know how hard you are working, all they see is data points. It's the managers who make life hell.

In India, hard work is not enough, you also need to make everyone know that you are working hard, one way that can be achieved is sending emails very late in the day so that people think you have been working at such late hours. Promotion pakka, but you would be setting up the wrong culture.
This is my story. I am working as a consultant in Deloitte got 3.5% appraisal and currently i am serving notice period 😂😂

It's the corporate life. Undeserved people use you as a ladder, learn from you, gets in the better position. You have to be a good politician to go in a good position. Here skills, education nothing hardly matters.

I work at EY and previously worked at PwC. The bonus payout and ratings came in today. I was so frustrated since morning after the abysmal ratings and payouts and this absolutely hits the spot. So relatable 😂

Entire essence of this is be understanding , if someone made a genuine mistake forgive them , if somebody did something good praise them , but , dont interact with everyone and anyone , only engage and understand quality people

Abijit, you are excellent but please take my suggestion. Walk a little bit during comedy so people's eyes can chase you ,that gives more stage presence. speak just 5-9% slow and Give a bit pauses in your speech so people who process jokes a bit slow in mind can stay with your pace. you have to carry whole crowd with you not just highly charged audience. i bet you can have very hit shows with lots of laughter bursts. your content and style is very good and enjoyable.

All the high-paying industries are basically job creation and justification wonderland.
For example, a software engineering team plans, executes, and deploys a "feature" for over a period of one year. And in just another year, another team, or the same one will be found planning, executing, and deploying a replacement feature or code. Timeline thodi si adjust kar lo....milega yahi. That is the reason it is very easy to fire people when the economy or the company are not doing well.
