I *love* the little details like the kaiju indicator on the traffic lights and the special lane on the roads for the anti-kaiju squads. It tells us kaiju are not anything unusual or secret in this world, something like devils in the Chainsaw Man. "Show, don't tell" at its best.
I watched this first ep during lunch today. I get a half-hour and and anime ep helps me time my lunch with a few minutes to spare. I have this on my Crunchyroll watch list because I love kaiju and the idea of a hybrid is a very cool premise. Crunchyroll has a blurb about this being a very popular manga first and they it was made into an anime.
Just finished a three-hour binge session of the entire season so far (gotta love insomnia, amirite?), and hopped over here to see what you thought about the first few episodes. It's pretty insane right outta the gate, and I'm definitely down to see where it goes from where it capped off -- and hey, maybe the new episodes, whenever they go live, would be good picks for the new Twitch channel?
