Native Peorian here. Thanks for the upload. One thing though...If you look at around the 0:25 mark you'll see a US-67 sign; 67 runs through far western IL so at least a portion of this initial footage is not of Peoria.
Spent some summer money at the Madison, Palace theaters. Even the Rialto. That Holiday Inn had a nice restaurant in it. Some great department stores then to goof off in. Now kind of blahhhh.
This footage needs to be in an archive somewhere.... Peoria was a lot more busy then downtown then it is nowdays.... crazy to see life Round these times....
My hometown. No matter where you go in America people know about Peoria.I was at a party one night in Chicago and when the people found out I lived in Peoria they wanted to know if I knew Richard Pryor.I didn't but a good friend of mine knew him well.

Sad to see what this city looks like today
It’s sad. Especially in my old neighborhood by Bradley and central.
Sure did gone to hell
Damn, you’ve really been all over the place! Gives a sort of nostalgic vibe, y’know?
Omg I remember back in the 70s growing up there. It’s so different now

The scary bridge
The second bridge
The factory
The abandoned apartments
