It's refreshing to see someone who made an effort to make the video interesting and full of info, without a single factual error, so common in similar 'biographical' videos on TH-cam!
His greatness is so obvious to scholars of the game. It is his humility and real desire to uplift & then praise his teammates. I can't think of anybody who's ever played with him, not having their best season(s). He's the GOAT of making his teammates better. & if he plays at the level he has for the last 4 years, for another few, Im'a start getting disrespectful with where he belongs on the Mt. Rushmore of Hoops. ⛏️🏀🏆✌️
The things he does with the ball have been talked about enough, so I will focus on what he does off-ball. He influences offensive possessions even without touching the ball. He screens (and rescreens) for his teammate, he cuts to the basket to force the defense to help, creating openings for his team. He is a monster on the boards, he is an aimbot at putbacks and if he gets the defensive rebound, he will either outrun the opposing center to start the break or hit a teammate in stride for perfect outlet pass. His conditioning for a big man is second to none, he rarely misses games, he is the best in clutch situations, which is amazing given that it is rare for a center to run the offense during the clutch. On defense, he is not a rim protector but compensates for it with everything else. He is a perennial league leader in deflections, in defending PnR he is nimble with his feet, he is such a genius that he can call out what set the offense is going to run, he secures defensive possessions with his rebounding, making it hard for opponents to get easy points via putbacks or transition. He is such a coach's dream.
Take of the century: "it's a bit surprising that Nikola Jokic isn't discussed more often as a potential 'steal' because he certainly is if he falls to the second round, as he's expected to." At 41 of the 2nd round, he turned out to be the greatest draft steal in NBA history!
My best description: He's s '7 ft. mix of Larry the Legend Bird, & Earvin Magic Johnson. Remember them soaring above the rim much??? Me neither. Probably the 3 virtuoso passers in the history of our game. ( Hon. mention: Nash, Kidd, Cousy, Sabonas Sr.). 🏀🕺
In essence, it's all about persistence and the final outcome, we don't give up easily... 80% of Serbs simply live by that principle, nothing comes easily to us, we are taught from childhood to fight for ourselves and our goals. Our parents slapped us when we made mistakes and complimented us only when we really deserved it. We don't need therapy, we heal ourselves with persistence. With faith in Jesus we move forward 🙏💙
Jokic embodies not only how an athlete in his position should be but how a real man should act. He's not a loud mouth, he's a humble family who treats basketball as a job not an avenue to become a false idol and brand building beyond the realm of athletics.
Jokic may be outclassed by other scorers in the league. He might not have the assist and block numbers of embiid and doncic but the field goal and efficiency rating is way more valuable. It’s more net points for his team. I think anyone shooting a positive fg% that’s that high deserves mvp. It’s genuinely something unheard of in the modern era and it takes an mvp candidate to do something like that. The assists, rebounds, blocks and points are all good stats but every player in the nba has been targeting that since 8 years old. He’s doing something different and changing the way scouts and trainers see the center position.
Joker plays Europe time (GMT) 6-7 hrs ahead of you there! 😂 He got his own pace and split second, no look-over the shoulder alley-oop pass is in the air.. Waterpolo and volleyball touches speeds up the passes to 3rd alot! 😕
It was a really good video, but yeah get yer friend to read the script for him. No disrespect. It really is a lot more insightful and well put together than most of these types of videos. 👍✌️
Jokic is a team first player without drama, so refreshing.

Really appreciate that, and thanks for watching.

Jordan era, LeBron era, now we're in the Jokic ere...in spite of the NBA not wanting to admit this.

When you turn off a video 30 seconds in because of the person's voice....😂
unfortunately yah...
Almost did, but turned out to be a good video. My advice to the creator. Record your audio and speed your voice up. People will stay longer.
