Everything is content now. Martin Scorsese wrote a piece for Harper’s talking about how all cinema art movies is being reduced to its lowest common denominator “content” and the media corporations started using the word content more and more when pushing their online streaming platforms. Netflix etc.
Content used to be a term for the independent social
Media and TH-cam creators. But TikTok and TH-cam and everything got so popular I theorize that that is why the big media Corps devised a strategy to JOiN the internet content space on their playing field and compete directly with social media and the little
Guys for views. That’s where the views are now. Mobile. Online. Content. So they are adopting their strategy for eyeballs. Everyone is competing for your short attention span now.
