It's a Bear's tradition to not block for rookie QBs. OL acting like they've never seen a Stunt before. Waldron had to call nothing but perimeter runs. And even then Bears couldn't block quick out screens. And took DJ juking someone out of their cleats to make a WR end around work. The blocking across the board was an F.

I don't blame it all on Caleb. The receivers couldn't even catch a cold. Caleb did make a couple bad throws, but he's still a rookie. Most of his decisions were pretty decent.
Dropped TD made a big difference

Honestly, once offense get their stuff together, this team can be very special. Defense and special teams (except for you know who) did their part. And now, offense just gotta do theirs. Hopefully they clean up. Especially #65. Sheesh.

We all should know Williams played his first NFL game, and it's going to take time for him to improve despite how bad the offense perform and even Terry Bradsaw was like that when he started playing his first game with the Steelers

A win is a win, the offense needs time to gel and they will we just need to be patient (they should be clicking on all cylinders by week 5 or 6 if not sooner imo)……I’m glad the Bears defense was able to pick up the slack because if they play like this every game the offense will always have chances to score etc…..

Can we talk about Gerald Everett seeming to get more snaps than Kmet? Every time Kmet was out there he was making a key block or getting open. Everett did nothing for us
Correction: Offense didn’t get any touchdowns but did score 8 points. 2 three point kicks and one two point conversion.

Eric Washington is really making our D-Line look legit. It was the one area I was worried about.
Caleb seems a real cerebral player, I hope he learns from this, especially the big sack. If we score 2-3 TDs, we win this game easy.
Big shout out to The Tennessee Titans, their Defense played really well, T.Sweat is an animal.

I’d say that was actually a 2005 win with rookie Kyle Orton eeking out wins on the back of the defense, 2006 Rex was slinging it to Bernard Berrian.
Orton should have been our QB during the SuperBowl, that was Lovie worst game, he had to be too distracted by emotions.
@@CKingdomRockTv yep, although I’ll admit at the time I wanted Rex. In the SB Chicago was missing Mike Brown and Tommie Harris so I figured if they were going to win they needed to put up points to beat Manning and the Colts and ‘good Rex’ could do that. Unfortunately, ‘bad Rex’ suited up.

The more I forced to think about every mistake or missed opportunity for Lovie to out coach Tony he sat there starrred eyes and stood in his teachers shadow. The whole season we used multiple returners, we used 3 RBs and forgot all about our Adrian Peterson for short punt returns and substitute for Cedrick’s bum ass. Okay I must stop before my anxiety kicks in. But yeah that only time I was disappointed in Lovie but I still would have kept him.

Breaks my heart this offense isn't what we were expecting, because the combination of an insane offensive with that defensive is definitely playoff worthy, but Bears will be Bears. Caleb, the play calling, the WR, the O-Line was all beyond disappointing.
Gotta remember also it’s the first game, if it’s like this by Week 6 then yeah I’d be concerned

Here are three things I want to point out:
Caleb struggles to read defenses and is still playing as if he's in college.
I think he should sit behind an experienced quarterback like Ryan Tannehill to develop.
The Bears need Mack to return and team up with Sweat for a powerful defensive line.
Are we not considering the offense getting into field goal position? I know they didn’t score a touchdown but the 3 kicks Cairo made count as offensive points…right?

Caleb didn’t really do anything to lose the game but didn’t do anything to win it. However the offensive line mainly our C was what made our offense anemic. A bad C affects the whole line and the QB.
The special teams did great.....other than Velus Jones. WHY IS HE STILL HERE!!!!

Great win by the Bears but it's a putrid win because this defense reminds me of the 2005 Bears Defense when the defense has to save Rex Grossman when the offense was out of sync on that Monday night game against Arizona, The late Dennis Green "We Are Who They Thought They Were?" I know it's week 1, but if this team is going to go places, The Bears has to make adjustments on offense because you can't do this to the Houston Texans next Sunday. Bear 🐻 Down.

Why are Everette, Carter, and Homer getting more playing time than Kmet, Scott, and Roschon?? The offense was weird and literally couldn't get a drive going all game and once we did, we get a flag. Finally, wow, the playcalling reminds me too much of Getsy. Actually one more thing, trade and ban Shelton and Davis from Chicago that was the worst offensive line performance oat.
Shelton needs to go on 3rd string . VJJ cut and maybe PS . Bring back Reddy. Hope KO healthy for O line .

The offensive game plan was very weak in my opinion. Cole Kmet was all but non-existent. Odunze was not a factor. Herbert had two carries and spent most of his time on special teams.
The O line has been a shit show for several years and they refuse to address it every year, but they expect different results year after year.
I hope Ryan Poles and Chris Morgan chew out the o line after the game
