I found Jack Savoretti on TH-cam and he is the best thing that has happened to Music in a long, long time. I saw him in concert in Dublin, May 2019, he is a total gentleman with huge respect for his band, and his audience. He’s going to be huge. Thank You Jack.

I can not believe I never heard this song before. I heard this song in my workplace on an inner radio, went home and started to find the song with lyrics. Such a beautiful song and what an amazing singer Jack is. can not stop listening. With times such as now, people need real music like this.

11 years or so ago... "live" at The Louisiana in Bristol this young man walked onto a small stage with a guitar and a piano....sang his heart out....and i'd swear 100 folk melted...right there and then.
WE ALL KNEW THEN....i paid for 10 friends to go back then. At £7.50 a ticket, i felt that his album was blinding and that 5-10 years from then you'd be lucky to get change out of £50 a ticket....we had an amazing night of discovery and frankly, you could hear a pin drop back then as everybody realised they were witnessing the rise of a future great. On a personal level, I put in a request for an audience with Jack to ask him a few questions about song writing. He was incredibly generous with his time...and a fine young gent, who, five years later, totally remembered me and happily signed my daughter's guitar that night with a beautiful personal message to her. I laid the guitar down by her bed that night....7a.m. the next morning..."OMG, OMG, omg Dad!!!!", she shreiked.
My daughter was 9 then. She's 15 now and still a massive fan of Jack's.
What does that say?....it screams out "ARTIST popular across every generation" to me...and she won't let that guitar out of her sight.
Need proof she exists?...google URBAN SEASCAPE'S "THE CHILD"....and go to Amazon..that is her..and her dad co-wrote the song...with Jack's inspiration, of course..couldn't have done without it.

There are obviously some very beautiful ,heart rending songs out there but after some deep thought I am sure that this has to be in the top three of the most beautiful ,soul stirring ,amazing songs of all time ,the combination of Jack's incredible near perfect voice and the heart breaking lyrics really elevates this song to such high status in my opinion.

I first heard and saw Jack about 7 years ago in London. Back then he was playing to about 100 people and I couldn't understand why he wasn't recognised and appreciated more. Now he's finally getting there. Congrats Jack!

i have been listening to this song for 5 or 6 years as soon as it came out and these past few years haven't been kind to me. whenever he says " i'm gonna get you out of here" i feel like he's talking to me and reassuring me that it'll pass. could never get bored from this song every time it hits hard more than before and gets me so emotional. jack should really be more recognized he is better than most of those mainstreamers rn. his songs and songwriting are one of the best ones i've come across. pure talent.

By the way, i used to reach for the public for Jack's music a few years ago as i met him twice in his early embryonic stage...and spoke about song writing with him...generous, GENEROUS human being(and took time out to read my lyrics!!)...sometimes you just know someone has got it. I paid for ten friends to come with me to The Louisiana in Bristol about ten years ago(£7.50 a ticket then..made total sense)....you could hear a pin drop....BETWEEN THE MINDS is in my personal top five albums of all time. One version comes with some "live" versions...it is MIND-BLOWING...he was that good back then and came through the right way...HARD WORK and BELIEF....and one lesson for all...he never, EVER gave up....came close once(BBC 1 NEWS INTERVIEW WITH JACK SAVORETTI..google it..eye-opener.

It's not too much info Mary...folk like "sharers"..it helps them get through troubled times. Just this morning i met an old friend who has just lost her son(21 i seem to remember)...he was six or seven when i knew him. My friend wants to know if we can have coffee together. That means a chat about her son. It won't be a problem with me. I can take the tears..and it will help her. One song i will avoid her hearing is one i penned the words to. Written deliberately for folk who need to let go after loss.
Will i play it for her at a later date..damn right i will..i watched my brother's death kill my mother's tear ducts...then she wanted to cry and asked me why i was avoiding playing my latest writing for her....in the end she insisted. I realised she needed tears...so i played it for her...halfway through the song, she wept like i'd never seen her weep before...and i saw one thing....RELIEF....
WHY? by JASMINE LAMPORT..........be careful....VERY CAREFUL...it has been known for soaked shirts to appear when this song has been played in my company....occaisionally my own included..happy to admit that...i was in the room when it was first performed...to say the word "WHOAHHHH!! appeared in my head would be a huge understatement.

It's all about connecting Sophie...sometimes folk just don't. I'm a song writer and a while back i wrote the lyrics to a song, effectively to showcase the beautiful voice of a young lady i write for called JASMINE LAMPORT. She arrived with a rough guitar and sang in front of me(like a demo)..but something wasn't connecting. Her voice was ok but i felt she was trying to sing a little too deeply, so i asked her to sing a chorus i'd written in a song called BREATHE....
....and MAGIC happened right there because i'd asked her to sing up a whole octave...BOOM and suddenly she knew. Inside i was tearing up..those tears were flowing but just like most men, i held them back. I remember throwing my pen across our table and saying "THERE IT IS JASMINE...RIGHT THERE....RIGHT THERE!!......OHHH!!!"...amazingly because i'd passionately thrown my pen, she miss-read me completely and had packed her guitar away and walked into the kitchen, where i found her in tears. Jasmine had been so used to rejection that she thought i was saying "SORRY, NOT INTERESTED", when really i couldn't wait to write something with her...she was overwhelmed because SHE'D heard her real voice for the first time as well.
DID I DISCOVER HER??...naaah..i just uncovered her.
For proof, we now have three beautiful songs online which we wrote together with many more on the way. Jasmine's early like/dislike % is really healthy...most folk seem to connect to her. ...BUT THERE WILL ALWAYS BE FOLK WHO WON'T..i like to think of them as THE THUMBS DOWN BRIGADE.
Truth is i don't care about those ones...i care about the ones who the songs connect with.
ALL SUBJECTIVE.
P.S. I've met Jack(Savoretti) twice now. He's a really cool guy...and grounded...and has worked so hard to make it to you..glad you found him...i met him ten years ago and we talked about....SONG WRITING.
