I must say, them Baldwin 10-12-Ds always look good in any colour other than their WWI black livery. Peggy's red livery, both your model and historically, must be one of the best liveries the class has ever worn.
I see you spared no expense on the transmitter, hahaa. Be advised, there are plenty of low cost 2.4 GHz transmitters that only take 4 AA batteries which is a big improvement in my estimation
Soy de México me gustan mucho los trenes y me gustaría tener uno de esos la verdad me gusto mucho todo pequeño y funcionan de verdad estoy fascinado por este canal y este gran artesano. Espero algún día poder comprar uno de esos trenes
WOW!! What a find! Thank YOU SO MUCH for putting this footage out there. Brought back fond, distant memories of the mineral lines around Mosley Common (& BR line at Ellenbrook).Until now I had to make do with a solitary image of one of those fantastically grimy saddle tanks heading north from Mosley Common as seen in DJ Sweeney's COLOUR OF A LANCASHIRE TRIANGLE.My cousins lived at Ellenbrook & I have hazy memories as an 8 year old seeing the dying days of steam on our annual trips north from London to visit family.Do you have any more footage to share of the lines around Mosley Common please (particularly that section of line north from Mosley Common, that paralleled Newearth & Bridgewater Rd)?
What’s a good locomotive of a decent size in live steam to work with? I’ve been looking at Russell by Roundhouse Engineering since I was absolutely hooked on it since I found it through your videos, but are there any engines you consider superior for some reason or another over Russell that can handle 45mm track?
Hope you're settling back into UK life well. It's great to see the first incarnation of the new garden railway. Do you plan a 5" or is that classified information at the moment? 😁👍
I really enjoyed this video. The engine is beautiful. I was just test steaming my 5 inch gauge steam engine. A custom model. Just a curiosity, how often do you run your 32mm gauge steam engines.
As often as I can but probably only once a month this time of the year. They are like car and need to be run often rather than standing. Just oil the moving parts well and clean the boiler and they will last forever.
@@GandyDancerProductions I take much a similar approach but I try to run to a schedule like on a real railway. I have three steam engines and run the also as much as I can which is quite a lot. During this time of year about every weekend. During the summer there is a steam engine running every day. I know some people who run their locos one or twice a year and not only is is bad for the loco but it’s practically wasted money as if you run every day for 2 months then you enjoy your loco 61times and even if it needs repairs after that it will be a lot better than if the engine needs repairs every 5 years but during that time you have only ran it 6 times. Thank you for your time. I really enjoy your videos and hope to once maybe meet you in the future. Best regards SAM.
Hi, I built it from a kit supplied by Wrightscale. I explain it in more detail in this video: th-cam.com/video/CSmOE7hljRg/w-d-xo.html. Wrightscale has a website: wrightscale.co.uk/baldwin_4_6_0.html. I'm not sure whether Malcolm still supplies the engine.
Hi, the wheels are from a casting bought from Wrightscale and machined on my lathe. The rails you can buy from either Tenmille or Peco Streamline SM32 scale.
Peggy looks adorable. She reminds me of Stanley from the railway series. She also reminds me of a steam locomotive that used to run here in Norway in the 1930s. Also is the whistle sold separately?
The quality of the editing, filming and the voice overs are insane. Thank you for making this and sharing it with us all.
Hi Miich, my pleasure and thank you for your support.
My brother loves your videos so much! Thank you so much for sharing!❤️
I love niche hobbies and love channels that document as well as you do even more. Keep up the great work.
goodness, I love these. the look so real. and they are much more than a toy
A great series. Thanks for sharing.
What a fine little model you have there! It's like having your own little slice of the ALR in your back garden.
Great Baldwin Accucraft W.Dept modifiet with suitable mode! Nice job, with my compliments, cheers and keep safe, Fabrizio (like 80)
Hi, actually it's made from a parts supplied by Wrightscale.

Lovely little loco that
He started the industrial revolution in the garden.
What a grand layout
wow! I LOVE your live steam models!!
Looks very good
can you do some 5inch gauge running on the garden railway

Hi, you can't go wrong with a Roundhouse loco. They are reliable locos with plenty of pull and good customer service.
Thank-you:):)
this is really cool

Hi Dan, no need for a 5" railway at home with 8 or so club tracks within 40 miles of here. I will build a 16mm scale track though.
i like your train names for the train

вот вопрос - купили или сами сделали паравозик???
here's the question - did you buy or did you make the train yourself???

Peggy looks lovely! What gauge and scale is she, please?
Hi Alfred, this is 16mm to the foot scale based on a 2 feet gauge loco so running on 32mm gauge track or '0' gauge track.
@@GandyDancerProductions Thank you, I was thinking it might have been 3/4"/ft but 5/8"/ft isn't too far off that.
i can't wait for the real railway
Do you plan to make a railway for Joan and the gas mechanical?
Hi, I don't need to there are lots of railways close by to run on some as long as a mile.
Is your 5 inch gauge railway rebuilt:)
Hi Zach, no I'll not rebuild because there's about 8 club tracks within 40 miles to run on. I will build a 16mm though.
Wow can’t wait:)
How you made the rails and wheels , please tell me sir🙏🙏

I just came back from umgeni steam railway

Hi, the whistle I made and fitted.
Where is Russell your engine where is he?.
He was running at the weekend getting a boiler certificate for summer fun. I'll have some video out soon.
Dose the real Peggy still exist?
Hi, unfortunately she was scrapped in 1951 when the line closed.
@@GandyDancerProductions awww :(
Dude, you got tornado in the window
Peggy reminds me of a certain engine that got turned into a generator on a certain fictional railway in a certain story book about talking engines
