    I worked in Milwaukee for years and as a perk we'd regularly get tickets to Brewers games, great stadium, great atmosphere. It didn't matter what the record was I never went to a game that didn't have a nearly full crowd with people having fun, being in a great mood overall. Milwaukee is just chill like that I've never understood why people hate on it so much.

    Legend has it Milwaukee was where tailgating was started. Not buy Brewers fans but by White Sox fans. After the Braves left and before the Brewers arrived there was a push to get the White Sox to move there, so as a result they played a few home games at County Stadium and Sox fans brought their grills with

    I love miller park, it's massive, I wanna say it's the tallest major league ballpark at 330 feet, the pictures don't do it justice

    The thing that's Is really disappointing is they stopped launching fireworks after home runs and wins. American Family is just a shell of miller park's former glory.

    • @SACSportsAdventures
      @SACSportsAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Carter Vrieze That is a disappointment. Did they launch them inside when the roof was closed? Also, what a poetic and deep statement. I like it.

    • @SlumberJacked
      @SlumberJacked 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@SACSportsAdventures yes actually, even when the roof and windows were closed they would launch the fireworks. They would usually just explode near the ceiling.

    One of the first Brewers games I went to, it started raining unexpectedly and they had to scramble to get the roof closed. The last section got stuck or delayed for some reason for a solid minute or two, and the poor 2nd baseman was just standing in the rain looking around at his dry teammates. Definitely got a good laugh out of that!

    • @SACSportsAdventures

      Hahahaha! One of my friends used to work the grounds crew and he said that they have no clue how to get the tarp out of it starts raining because they’ve never practiced it before.

    GREAT video! You brought back so many memories! I was there the night they turned off all the lights in County Stadium with my Dad and we were there Opening Day at Miller Park. President Bush was there and through out the first pitch. It's still just as amazing all these years later! The Secret Service was perched in the rafters and I even got one to wave at me! Thanks again for the video and the memories!

    I have been to American Family Field lots of times. The roof just looks spectacular. I've only gotten 2 batting practice balls but no foul balls. Keep up the great work sir oh I even had a chance to take a look at the Little League field right in front of AmFam Field as well.

    If you'd have walked around behind Helfaer Field, you'd have seen the original location of home plate for Milwaukee County Stadium. It's left of the current plate of the small field and has a nice tribute there.

    That's ok. I went to a Brewers games on these dates:
    5/24/19 lost 6-4 vs. Philadelphia
    7/23/19 lost 14-6 vs. Cincinnati
    6/15/21 lost 2-1 vs. Cincinnati
    The last time I went to a Brewer game when I actually saw them win was 8/3/18 when Thames hit a walloff homerun vs. Colorado
    I got a 2 baseballs in the game back in June (profile pic). But the stadium is still cool and most of the images you took outside I was standing in the exact same spot. 🤣🤣🤣. Good video!

    • @SACSportsAdventures
      @SACSportsAdventures  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Looking back at pictures and counting… looks to be about 14 to 16 rows behind the plate. I was shocked at how reasonably priced seats that close are in Milwaukee. Back in April I went to a game there against the Reds and sat front row down the third base line for $9 a seat!

    They have to tailgate because there are no other pregame options in that concrete jungle miles from city center. Great stadium, regrettable location choice.

    • @SACSportsAdventures
      @SACSportsAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree 100%! It’s a poor location surrounded by parking lots so you have to pay $20+ to park. It would be so nice if the Hop went all the way to the stadium but that doesn’t seem likely anytime soon. The bar busses are always a good alternative though.
