Tutorial - Hidden Pocket Flip

- I admit, while I was making the video, I had no idea what to call this thing! But I think "hidden pocket flip" is a good descriptor. There are actually 3 pockets that are hidden beneath a flip that you can add to a journal, and a bonus pocket in the back of the flip that fits a tag perfectly.

This is a great idea, very cute. I think if I make one I will put card stock on the back and use it as a card because I don't journal but I like making pockets. I just alter them for my needs.

@@MadPaperCrush I'm going through it now, and I have a question on the side pocket, the one that houses the tag. Did I miss where you cut that open the rest of the way besides the circle punch? Obviously to preserve the pocket that houses the card with the lady on it, you don't want to cut all the way, but I completely missed you cutting the opening for the tag's pocket and ended up having to cut it after it was already glued and bradded on there...
Oh I think I figured it out... you're not using the inside of the bottom of the envelope as the pocket, but the back of it...

Thanks, Anne! For this project I used scrapbook paper from a pack I had, and the butterfly pages were some collage pages I had done, but they aren't in any kit - yet! 😂
Instead of using the circle for the closure, what about cutting out 1 of the cardstock butterflies or flowers

where did you get the punch tool and the very tiny brads TFS awesome
I got them at Michaels - but it was a long time ago! The punch is by Making Memories and the tiny brads were in the scrapbooking section - they might be Tim Holtz.
Bc my journals will B for 4& 7 yr olds not sure l will B distressing but providing stickers in the pockets for each of them.. l don't have a sewing machine but may Stitch or glue.
Great ideas! You could also have them draw stitches - I think that might be fun too.
