The occlusal rests on the teeth non-adjacent to edentlous space when do I decide to place it mesially or distaly

I am incredibly confused about this topic, please can someone assist me? I dont understand where to place clasps, what clasp to use and rests in cases of modifications

I have looked at the app however it doesn't give a detailed explanation as to why those specific clasps were used. Is there any way that I can contact you privately with regards to a few questions I may have? I have a very important exam at the end of the month and I just can't seem to grasp the concept of clasps and rests
That will be class IV instead of class VI
