nope.. he absorbs choreo like a sponge.. he watches it once and his body knows the entire choreo.. that's his unique talent..
He's actually the fastest one on SHINee when it's about learning new choreos, too. Iirc he just need to watch once or twice of certain choreos then he could recreate them and that choreo stuck with him (he never forgets), and regarding SHINee's choreo, he even remembers other members' part of the choreo (and their parts in songs) to the point that Minho said he was a music pervert. lol.

I love how he doesn't dance to girl group songs as if it's a joke. Some male idols dance to it as a gag and not as the real music it is. V refreshing

You just know what with how sketchy early variety shows were that they thought they were setting him up to embarrass himself, but instead he always absolutely killed it so they couldn’t even say anything.
He did it with confidence, even the audience wanted more of him.

I don't think they were sketchy at all, they were just on a lower budget. But weverything was on a lower budget than now during the 2nd gen, just watch the early SHINee mvs. And also those shows weren't "setting him up", idols weren't afraid to dance like that during second gen, he was just very good at it so they made him dance more.
@@ONYX_KPOP I honestly never considered the lower budget, but I should have! Thank you for making me think about it c: ig I just meant that early variety shows were kind of exploitative? I mean like anything for entertainment, yknow? So for many AMAB idols they would ask them to do girl group dances - thinking they’d be embarrassed - but KEY is absolutely amazing and charismatic so he just did amazing c:

@@ONYX_KPOP yes exactly ! Also I don’t think it was low budget. I think as time goes by, technology , quality and style will obviously change and upgrade. So it’s just now is an upgraded version . I’m just thinking that the younger me who used to watch their MVs the day they got on TH-cam , used to find them super high quality back then 🤣🤣 and the me now when going back to the old MVs can feel the gap in technology and video quality etc . Also with kpop being more global now, it’s obvious they’re putting in more effort for variety shows and everything else 💕

The awesome thing about it, not only that Key remembered all girl group dances, he also dance with precision. Most people just remember the dance point only, but Key knew everything, step by step.
Is he got photographic memories or something
The most impressive for me was the hip isolation movement for Eleven where he actually hit it perfectly with the rhythm although only 2/6 members of I'VE being able to actually move their hips on beat for the counting.
Key is a dance prodigy, he can remember whole choreography only by 1x seeing, even from the back side. He's a genius!

I just LOVEEEEE how key covers gg songs RESPECTFULLY like no hate to anyone but it's quite rare to see male idols cover gg songs without either making fun of it for being too "girly" or changing it to a more masculine and "powerful" version which is sometimes not very pleasing to me so yeah in conclusion, I LOVE THIS MAN SM

Most male idols while they dance for gg’s they kinda mock the dance and exaggerate the steps to show that they are trying to be feminine but key doesn’t do that , he just does the steps very well and isn’t embarrassed about the fact that he knows all the steps and can dance well
I love how he always stays so focused and composed. Nothing could ever distract him. He is such a fine guy.
His brain and muscle memory is magnificent. How he can remember the choreo is really beyond my non-dancer brain
He's just built differently. His body remembers every choreography like his own. Wow.
Many celebrities hate being famous. Not Key. He absolutely loves it. He thrives in it.
Key in suits + glasses dancing gg choreos is so fatal how come he looks so good doing it in suits???
I love Key for this. He's so respectful about the dances, he takes learning them and dancing them very seriously. He's secure enough in his identity to not make dancing feminine moves a joke as so many other male idols do, nor does he feel the need to change the choreo to something more masculine. We stan him just as he stans us.

its his frozen expression for me which makes it even better - not a single bit "ashamed" (which nobody should bc ggs have damn hard choreos) but fully concentrated on how to nail the choreo once again

he has an incredible memory for choreo, he's a fantastic dancer and performer, but most of all, i can tell how much he genuinely loves k-pop and how much he respects the artistry and craft of girl groups. his love for dancing and music is so infectious, it's always a joy to see him perform, whether it's a shinee song, his solo songs, or covers of other artists.
key is literally the only one that does girl group dances and perfects it without trying to make it all manly. I hate when these male idols try to masculanize girl dances

I had never seen the Something bit and oh my god he slayed that!! He was really into it. And like many other comments say, Key has never taken gg choreo lightly, he always goes hard and is accurate. I like to think he has taken ATEEZ's Seonghwa under his metaphorical wing 'cause he is the same haha!

Awwww thank you so much for the effort you poured in compilingclips of Key dance to girl group choreo~ watching some of the old clips make me reminiscing memories of the early years after of SHINee debut~ everyone in industry adores them so much especially Taeminnie (obviously ^^).. and I still remember how everyone in Kvariety shows like Makbanshi, World Changing Quiz Show, Star Golden Bell etc was so surprise when Key started to dance to girl group's choreo..
Maybe in future we can see part 2 of the compilation, we still have BoA, Hyori, Miss A, Kara ' Honey', Secret, Sunmi, 2NE1, Oh My Girl, Orange Caramel, Red Velvet 'Ice Cream cake', AOA, EXID, SNSD 'Party' and the list goes on~ anyway I really2 love this vid... thank you again ^^
when I was researching for clips for this video I came across many old videos, sadly most of them are low quality, luckly we also have Key on Amazing Saturday every week, so, for sure I'm going to create more videos like this one :)
@@ONYX_KPOP exactly~ I still remember all those shows because I'm so into Kpop since 2000 and watched so many Kshows too~ I'm so glad that Key is in Nolto~ got to see him every week and as always, people still shock to see how good and accurate he is with girl group dance routines~ out of sudden I miss the 91' liners~ their small group are one of the famous back in 2008 - 2010~ looking forward for more vid like this~ thank you again ^^
