I like how he said the songs that were in it when he was talking about his vintage acoustic guitar. That vibe is in a lot of different instruments, and the freedom it provides. It always there whispering to those who can hear it. Thanks for showing me the path
LFDH was where I first saw Butch Walker and in my opinion it was the best performance on that series. Especially the song "Closest thing to you I'm gonna find". The passion he sang with resonated through the entire band. It was amazing.
I've been a Sevendust fan for 20 years and only learned a few months ago that Butch produced Seasons! Such a classic record! I'm a huge fan of his solo music as well. Stay Gold is one of my favorite singer-songwriter albums of all time!
Hi Marty - i have been following your channel(s) for many years now. Just wanted to say that it always has been a pleasure watching your video's and occasionally buying your blues CD courses. Top notch!
I wore out SouthGang cassette " Group Therapy" when I was a teen. Hair metal was the thing then in the 80s , but that album had an awesome sound to it. "Ode to Peggy's" was my favorite track. Loved the bass groove on it!. 👍
I am of an age that, if you wanted to do multitrack recordings, you had to buy hideously expensive reel-to-reel tape recorders that usually had only stereo tracks or parallel 4 track if you were lucky, and of course, there was no way I could afford that outlay. Of course, you needed some sort of mixer, as well as the tape machine, which added to the expense. Yes...4 track cassette recorders came out in the 1980s, but they were still pretty expensive and out of my price range. That's why I love it today, because you can now download a reasonably good multitrack recording program for absolutely free! I use Audacity and though I realise it isn't the best, I have gotten some pretty decent music tracks recorded by using it. I only wish this sort of thing had been available when I was 18! 😎🎸🎸
I found Butch Walker in ‘09 with Here comes the… because I was 19, me and my long term girlfriend broke up and I was “depressed” 🙄 hahah Long story longer, I never knew he did ALL of this. Like, I never listened to any other songs by him or anything. It stuck in my head and still sing it almost daily lol Its awesome finding out he’s BEEN a successful artist this whole time 🤷♂️ I’m an idiot for not just googling him
Not sure how old you are but in the 80s Butch was the lead singer of Southgang a hair metal band. On to the late 90s he was the singer for Marvelous 3 (Google freak of the week) from Georgia. Butch is from Carolton, GA. After their hit song freak of the week they had a final album come out called "Ready Sex Go" before they broke up due to the record label basically stealing their music. And it is good music too. Butch went on to make an album called "Left of self centered" and it is bad ass. He's changed a bit doing more acoustic style stuff. I was lucky enough to see Marv 3's last show here in Atlanta at the Olympic Park downtown back in the day. Also luck up "Bethamphetamine" it's a song Butch did and Avril Lavigne is the strung out girl in the video and Butch has produced for her too. Sorry for the book just a run down for you. Always loved his singing and he's one hell of a player too! He used to cover Bohemian Rhapsody live and he can shred.
Wow! i lost everything in the dixie fire last year 8/4/21 i know what it's like. my studio,45+ Guitars 1962 Casino 335 , just like Butch walkers, i had Marty,s signature looper, Soooo Muuch equipment . i am still waiting on the insurance company...

It’s weird to me how many great musicians got started down the path by Kiss, considering how horrible Kiss music is. But they inspired young people at a certain time. Go figure.

If KISS is your wind, we’re blowing in different ones
Rookie question, but what kind of guitars are those. I see Gibson but the model. Seems like it’s everyone’s dream guitar.
